This class is not easy. You cannot miss a single homework past the two he drops because it makes the difference between a letter grade. The homeworks would be extremely challenging but he was aware of it and graded them leniently. He is the KING of partial credit!

Go to class, take good notes, read the textbook as a reinforcement and practice end of chapter problems and there's no reason to get less than an A. Dr. Jones was also available when I needed help and also offered advice for my undergrad degree.

Hard class, teacher is good but subject matter is a pain in the butt. If you havn't taken this class yet be sure to get a business calulator because if you don't there are 15 formulas you have to learn and he doesn't give a formula sheet on the tests.... So Study and go to class and take the quizzes and you will be fine.

Material was pretty difficult, but he let us use a note sheet for the tests. Some people were still making 30s and 40s on tests after the curve. Jones knows the material very well and gets it across in an understandable manner, but it is just a hard course no matter how it is presented.

The class is hard! I hear he is the best teacher to take it with. I took it this fall and he gave me a lot of chances to make an "A". In the end I ended up with a B. But he is helpful, and you are going to want to drop the class the first month, but stick it out!

this is fall 2005. I think that he is a great professor. He loves the subject and it shows. He is a really easy going guy and i would recommend him to everyone that needs to take fin 333. He gives you soo many chances to make a good grade in his class.

As with anything, this is a required course, so you're probably not taking it b/c you want to, so with that said, Dr. Jones is probably the best prof to take. His test are not easy, but he provides enough resources to do well (old exams, quizzes -off website). Also you can drop your lowest test or quiz grade.Nice guy, show an effort n u'll do fine

During the 04 spring semester, Dr. Jones is very excited teaching this. Quizzes are easy, tests are a bit difficult so read that book and STUDY EVERYTHING he goes over, even if he takes 30 seconds on it. You can even drop the final so work hard.
