Worst Lecture ever ! She just read the author's biography, and rambles about their life story. I did not learn anything. What she wanted is very unclear for the reading responses. She makes you go to fieldtrips and you have to pay an addition 25$, you're paying for attendance pretty much. Worst class ever, most of us only took it for the credit.

She's a doll. Understanding, affectionate and nuts (in a great way). Just go to a play a week, write a review a week, one presentation and try and talk in class, which she makes very easy. No exam. Also, great course if you like Yorkies. If you love structure though, it may drive you crazy.

At forst she seemed great, the class was a community. She tried to take us into the 21st century and had us write blogs however, there is a lack of structure, she changes her mind with what she says, and doesn't care if you have allergies to her dogs. If you like free form and not knowing how your doing in a class, this is the teacher for you.

What a wonderful course! We saw 11 plays and reviewed them all. No midterm, no final, just a portfolio. I loved this course because I love theatre and writing but if I could re-design the course I would change the line-up of shows. Prof Bird knows a lot about theatre and has high standards. I would take another course with her.

Kym was fabulous. She really puts her heart into her teaching. You can tell that she wants her students to master the material. I do not know what others are referring to about the objectives not being clear...did they not ask her? She by far is one of the most approachable profs encountered one can encounter

Lady Bird rocks the nest.Interesting, informative and fun. She made the class a community. She brings her cute little dog to class, he yelps and runs around... he sure added to the ambiance. Kim is smart and knows her stuff..I will LOOK for courses she teaches, and take em'all! The best course I have taken at YORK to date... TRES COOL!

I'm not quite sure what everyone has against Kym because she's really a great woman!She may be disorganised and brings her dog to class but these are all just aspects of her vivacious personality-something that many(if not most) professors lack!I've taken so many courses with her and think she's a great educator. Took in 4th year.Have had many profs in eng and hist,this is the worst prof of all.Reasons being:she choses fav stu,is unclear abt whats expected,syll has many errors,lessons r very pro Euro and hist incorrect.(ie. eur disc all science, were first civilization, invented drama!!! etc).what about afr civ,arab sci,and asian drama?!hated her class!
