If you want a well-earned good grade do not take this teacher. I love psychology and was eager to take this class but i totally regret the teacher i picked. I study like crazy and still have a hard time getting good grades. You only have 3 tests the entire semester so if you do bad on one then good luck keeping a good grade. Just dont take him!

Good Teacher. Agree with comment about cellphone:however, as a student it is ANNOYING and RUDE to not shut off phone and annoying when immature students talk when he is lecturing. He gives respect and expects it back. To person with paper to do..sounds like you didn't read the book, by the way we all have busy lives.

Great teacher. This is college not high school. Tells you exactly what you need to do to get good grades. Gave paper to people he knew did not read assigned book. Quit moaning you had whole semester to read it.

Do not get this teacher. He is the hardest, most stuborn teacher I have ever had. I have made all A's in his class, but I forgot to answer an essay question on the back of the test and he is making me write an eight page paper on the whole book he assigned us to read. I have two kids, a job, housework and other classes. He is a horrible teacher.

DO NOT TAKE JACKS for Psych if you are not prepared to study like crazy before tests. He is very boring.. it is extremely hard to stay awake in his class. All he does is lecture every class. makes corny jokes, doesnt relate well to students. And for the love of god do not let your phone ring in his class cuz it will be all over from that point.

Professor Jacks is a nice man, but his class is quite boring. It probably doesnt help that I hate psychology. The multiple choice part of the test is the same thing as the practice tests in the study guide. However, the written part which comes from lecture notes will bring your 96% (scantron) down to a 72% overall. STUDY YOUR NOTES AND DONT SKIP!!

Excellent teacher! He has a wealth of knowledge and really knows his stuff. He expects college students to be responsible and read the material. If you apply yourself and study you will not only make a good grade but you may just learn some valuable stategies with dealing with life. I highly recommend this professor! Don't be late to this class!

Ok, so not a great prof, tests are the study guide photocopied, really nothing to do w/ his lectures w/ is horrid, b/c he is boring and there is no reason to pay attention. He has a few cool stories. Do the reading, review the study guide, make a note of anything he says about Fruend or any psych, and you'll get an A no problem.

This guy really believes in what he does. His class is not super hard if you study. Get started on the paper early though. It will def end up longer than 32 pages. He sounds intimidating the first day of class, but he's not so bad.
