Very accomplished in his field. he knows his stuff. no bs from him unlike others in the dept. Should really be at a research university. his strengths are in research and not teaching. really good guy, and pushes you to understand class material on your own.

Chinese politics course is an absolute fraud. No course preparation. No lectures. Just videos and work parceled out to students. Guo is a kind man no doubt, but he should not be teaching, and it is astonishing that he has been allowed to remain at Bowdoin
