I love Dr. Smith! He loves what he teaches, and is very nice. His lectures aren't the most fascinating, but he can be funny and tells great stories about the places he's been. I'm not a fan of history, but i didn't mind going to this class. I highly recommend taking this class, especially for an easy history credit.

Dr. Smith is my favorite prof I've ever had. I've never had a prof more willing to help students succeed. Tests are tough, but if you prepare it's an easy A/B. He keeps class lectures interesting with fun stories and tidbits. I've learned more from his classes than any class I've had. All around great guy, I'd take him every semester if I could.

This class was the biggest joke of my life. This class makes me wish i never enrolled in college. Class is extremely boring. Starts class out the same way with a stupid "okay class lets get started" in the same voice as the teacher from south park. No textbook. Class is an hour and a half of boring. Would recommend taking a different class. So dumb

This class was by far the worst class i have ever had at slippery rock you literally have to study constantly and know the material and even then you wont pass. I studied and knew everything and somehow didnt pass i got a D was the worst class ive ever taken. would not recommend.

Lang is my favorite professor by far. He will never hesitate to go out of his way to help you, even if it isn't class related. His classes can be tough, you absolutely have to read and go to class. Tests are tough because they're all short answer but they're do-able. Great professor and very knowledgable.

I want Langdon to be my "cool uncle". For real though the man is passionate about teaching U.S and Canada, and he's been to most of the places he teaches about. The tests are slightly difficult because his Power points don't have words, you have to pay attention to his lecture to get the information. Overall great man, interesting class.

He gives an easy 5 multiple choice quiz every week online and you can use your book for it. He is also very passionate about this subject and has actually been to most places he talks about. Also he offers assistance if you need it or are not doing well in the class. It is an enjoyable class and is pretty interesting.

I also had Dr. Smith as an adviser, I found him to be arrogant and rude, i never understood what he was talking about, talked the whole time while we were writing notes on his every word. Test are far and few between and they are all short answeressay questions. Doesnt use D2L and selectively uses email (It depends if he wants to talk to you).

Doesn't care if you attend class or not. Nice guy but no substance. Shows lots of videos and doesn't test on them so you can nap through most of the class on those days. Online quizzes are open-book so don't; take notes or read the book- waste of time. Not a bad guy but an easy "A" if you have the time and need the credits.

Easy "A" but only if you take notes and get to class. Have you purchase a textbook but he is not testing that much from it. Seems to know something but he is a bore like most of the department. No one really teaches here so you're on your own.

U.S. and Canada was extremely easy, although a tad boring. If you have him in the auditorium, attendance is not mandatory, but you won't do well on the tests if you do not show up. Go to every class and take the reading quizzes and you will get an easy A!

This class isnt a hard class but the tests can be challenging because all his tests come from the lecture and he doesnt put his notes on d2l. There are three tests and the final isnt cumulative, but to do well you need to attend every class.

He teaches a typical lecture style class. The book is not used in class, but he puts up reading quizzes online weekly and you need the book to pass those. The only downside is he gives 2 map quizzes and he gives you a list of basically 40-50 terms for each, but he only puts 20 questions on the actual quizzes. Other than that he's great.
