Lapoint is a nice person but his lectures are very dry and boring. He does give study guides for the tests, and there are only two tests the entire quarter. There is a lot of reading, but it's not too hard. Stay on top of the reading and take good notes.

Fantastic professor. He is a brilliant professor which a lot to share. He is patient and willing to explain things multiple times. He tends to lecture very high and test at a somewhat lower level.

You gotta like this guy! Easy for a good grade, but you just gotta put in your time. Some classes take more work to get that A, but very doable and very enjoyable. Brilliant and knowledgeable professor for Eastern to have.

Great professor to get along with. He's such a gentleman! I enjoyed taking Linguistics, Research Methods, and Tai Chi Chuan with him. His courses were always interesting, not too difficult, and he has great stories to tell.

He never ceases to surprise me, in any of my classes: consistently good, always has lots of material ranging from handouts to worksheets to listings of additional materials for reading for all. Good natured, kind, and a martial arts instructor to boot!

I'm taking this class for Honors and he's really good. He knows what he's talking about and I really enjoy the case studies and fieldwork experiences he shares with us. Myth, Ritual and Magic is a great class to take!
