Best CISN teacher I've had. His classes are easy, attendance isn't mandatory (unless you are not understanding the subject, obviously), and he is very relaxed on due dates. I will be taking every class he teaches, this is how college should be ran. Especially when we are forced to take a subject we already know about.

This guy is awesome. Get ready for some punny jokes. Will help you with things you don't understand, and is super understanding. I had a problem w/ another prof and he let me add his class 3 weeks late. Follow instructions for weekly lab, do the quizzes and you'll be fine. He usually provides free pdf textbook.

Don't take his class if you actually want to learn anything. He's using a TEN YEAR OLD BOOK for networking. Everything in it is outdated. All the quizzes are on the wrong weeks. Required to use discussion board, but doesn't even set it up. Says you get half credit for late work, but automatically gives full points for submitting 2 weeks late.

Took Excel with him online. Super easy, just follow the book. His tests gave you 3 attempts with no time limit, and the questions were the same all 3 times. Easy A, got a perfect score...you would have to not show up to fail this class.

I have no idea what I learned. I took a few classes with him including Stat 301. I got all As and I really have no idea what was going on. When I asked a question he would turn it into a joke and then move on to another subject. My GPA thanks him but I learned nothing lol. Thanks!

I took Prof Dumais because the class time worked with my life schedule. I found this Prof to be great. Math is not a happy subject for me and I found Dumais was always willing to help and gave every student an opportunity to do well in his class. I will be taking my next math class with Dumais. He has a very clean/funny sense of humor. :)

Okay. Took this class after reading the awesome ratings the teacher had, the guy is pretty cool, nice all the time, explains everything thoroughly, but this class is just boring as hell. my notes were 'god kill me now' from start to finish. I guess thats how Algebra 32 is though. Be prepared to fall asleep. you'll still get an A

Extremely easy online class. All you have to do is read each chapter and answer the questions at the end of it. 1 hour per week, tops. He gives you PPTs too but they're redundant. Great if you want an easy A, but not if you're trying learn. I could have just purchased the book and gotten the same education, instead of also paying for the class.

The idea of Larry's classes are show up and you get an A. If you show up for class (which you only need to be there for one hour since everyone else leaves as well) you get full credit for homework and labs. The quizzes/tests are online - 3 attempts and no time limit. His class is great if you need an A to boost your GPA without doing any work.

Easiest Math teacher I've ever had in my entire life! A huge relief for those trying to maintain a high GPA, huge class load or have very busy lives in general. On top of that, I learned a lot because I did the homework and studied without the stress and pressures that come from the fears of failing. Thank you Prof Dumais!
