He's different. Very engaging/interesting but the course load was high for a general class. The readings were interesting but he's pretty rough on grading papers. Follow his instructions exactly and you'll get the grade you want. He's not too helpful when it comes to your questions on assignments so do what you need to do on your own based on syll

Really great professor. Very intelligent and knows what he is talking about. Many people say that he is too difficult of a professor, but I found him to be very easy if you actually do the assignments. The one thing I have to say is that he tends to assume that everyone is religious (particularly Mormon), and that's pretty annoying if you're not.

I enjoyed his class because he was so into what he was teaching which made class more interesting. He gets the class involved with the lessons. We didn't need to buy a textbook but still had reading to do online. He goes over what he expects for papers. I enjoyed his class. Pay attention and read and you'll do well.

Larry is awesome. The way the class is organized makes it easy to progressively learn the ethicists you study. He also spends a whole class period going over how to write a paper and gives you ample examples. He gives you all the tools to et an A if you are really trying. I feel like I have learned so much in this class, and have even enjoyed preparing for it.

I absolutely love Larry, he is an amazing teacher. After taking his English 1010 class I decided to take his creative writing class last semester. He really helped me grow as a writer and I even hated writing before! The only thing I can see that would bother people is that you never really know your grade until the end of the semester.

Fantastic Professor! Educates you on the different perspectives from various philosophers and shines a light on alternative ways of viewing ethical dilemmas.Unlike a majority of his colleagues in this discipline he does not have a painfully obvious liberal agenda. In my opinion he has salvaged the reputation of the Philosophy department at UVU.

Pretty tough class for 2000 level. Grading is pretty subjective. If you don't agree with his strong opinions on things, expect it to show on your grade. If you are going for a perfect semester, look elswhere. Class has a lot of work too. About a page of writing per class period.

Do yourself a favor and do not take his class. To me it was not very enjoyable at all but maybe that was because I hate philosophy in general. He's a nice enough guy but I did not enjoy the class at all. I took the class because I had to and personally I hate general education classes.

The thing I liked is that we did not use a textbook at all. Just read 10 essays and there was also a group project at the end. I did not really enjoy the class at all because I hate philosophy and I do not really recommend Larry as a teacher.

Great teacher, very well spoken and teaches great understanding, however, he gives way too much work. He wants to force an eye opening experience which is good but there was just overall way to much hw for a 3 credit hour course.

Larry is an awesome guy! Attendence is required if you want to get a good grade. Overall I have become a better writer because of this class! Lots of short papers and mid term and final are easy if are good with grammar. Take this class! Its not hard if you put in the effort! Larry will work with you. (I got a B+ and i'm an awful writer)

Larry is a great professor! He is very funny. I didn't consider his class "hard", but there is a lot of papers to be written. He was always willing to listen to the class and help out where it was needed. I wish he taught more upper division courses, because I would recommend him to anyone!

TAKE LARRY! Don't take if you desire a boring, easy, full of platitudes or conventional class that you want to forget. Anyone who is lacking in life experience(especially out of Utah) should take this class. You could consider him a hippie, tree-hugging vegetarian but to my surprise, Larry really helped me rethink and redefine what I valued in life.
