Dr. Magness is a great teacher. Super nice guy that gives hilarious lectures. He uses the overhead and rambles about life. I wish I could take him again. His tests are fairly easy as long as you go to class and read your packet.

MAGNESS IS THE BEST! Class is 100% worth the time and effort. BLUF: Showing up to class 90+% of the time will go a longgg way in your favor He curves grades up, ESPECIALLY if you've done the EASY hw assignments Has real world experience and loves answering questions Textbook is expensive but a worthwhile read WILL ALWAYS GIVE HELP IF ASKED!

Comment:

One of the best professors I have had at business at Auburn; yes the midterms and finals are tough but he is fair in what he expects of you. He truly cares about each student and will go out of his way to make sure you understand the subject. Just make sure you go to class or you won't pass, his tests come straight from the lectures.

This is a really good class, and you'll actually learn a lot about transportation. The midterms are a bit challenging, so make sure you hit the books, and go through the study guides he provides in his packet. The final seemed a bit easier but that might have been because we had been discussing the subject for months. I actually enjoyed this class!

LM is the man. He is very old-fashioned (still uses a projector), but he is not only a wonderful professor, but also a wonderful human being. He genuinely cares about his students. He sounds like a southern baptist preacher when he lectures and it is quite entertaining. If you don't go to class, you won't pass.

Felt a little more like a history class than I was expecting. Go to class, do the homework, take notes and you'll be fine. Read the book and know the study guide well for the tests. Grading is a little tricky because there are only 3 tests but it's possible to do very well!

I had perfect attendance, always turned in the homework on time, and read all assigned pages, but his tests made an A impossible. Studying doesn't help much because you're tested on old tests he's never updated even as his lectures changed, making them pretty different than the notes. He's way too vague to teach anything more than common sense.

Dr Magness is articulate, helpful and knowledgeable. His experience in the real world of Supply Chain Management enhanced his presentation of material. I highly recommend him for either SCMN 3710 or SCMN 3720. Go to class, ask questions and read the assignments.

I had Dr. Magness for SCMN 3710 and 3720. Great & funny professor. Will do anything to help you. Go to class and turn in HW because he'll use that to boost your grade if you're borderline. Tests are kind of awkward but he adds bonus points based on how the class did. Definitely recommend!

Dr. Magness is a really good teacher. One of the few classes where I actually learned something from attending class instead of just having to learn everything from the book. He got me interested in SCMN, and I'm even thinking about double majoring in it. I am definitely going to take more of his classes in the future.

cool guy, interesting class let us out 20 minutes early every day. his attendance policy is he doesnt start deducting points until 10 absences. but his test are akward and ~ 70 questions so that sucks but i would take him again
