I literally have no idea how you would pass the class if you don't go to lectures. I have yet to even open the textbook, so that was a huge waste of money. His lectures are kind of sporadic but the content is very interesting, the exams are challenging but fair, and there are opportunities for extra credit.

He's very precise and particular so his tests are challenging and he can appear condescending because he knows so much but it's unintentional. He's very helpful to anyone who asks and is one of the best professors.

Dr. Normansell has an awful sense of humor and does not give you all the necessary information to pass his tests. However, he does provide a lot of extra credit and he keeps his exams the same from semester to semester.

Larry has high expectations of everyone but himself. He demands attendance but cancelled class for a month straight. I understand illness can happen but he gave no direction for a month, did not have others cover his class or even show us the respect of emailing us. He is great as a researcher and administrator but poorly interested in teaching.

He is a challenging professor, but he gives a lot of opportunities for help and extra credit. I definitely enjoyed his class because it wasn't an easy class, you actually had to push yourself to succeed. He is very kind and helpful. He has an odd sense of humor, but definitely makes class interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed this class!

I took Sensation and Perception with Larry...it was definitely challenging, but once I learned his idea of "fill in the blank", I did fine. He is EXTREMELY intelligent and respects those who work hard. He is an amazing professor and once you get to know him, you will not want to disappoint him and therefore work hard to get a decent grade =)

I took PSYC 281 as a post-secondary class my senior year in HS. Best decision I ever made! Larry is the best prof I ever had and made me want to major in psychology (which I now am at Miami of Ohio) He is SO passionate about psych and teaches concepts in a form that you can remember them in. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I took it in HS so its def doable ;)

This man talks like a freight train. He treats his students like they are dog crap that he just stepped in. He tries to be nice, but he thinks that he is so superior to his students that he comes off poorly. PSYC is his life and he expects it to be everyone else's too.
