this guy knows the interesting things about history. all lectures are from his memory. he's obsessed with sex, prostition, and stupidity in the american govnt. 2 or 3 of his lectures i laughed the whole time and then another 2 or3 i fell asleep. his voice is monotone and he neverd directly looks at anybody. overall i really enjoyed it. 2 thumbs up

Lectures are interesting - books not used except the book he wrote himself about Tenn - only about 5 questions on test about that - don't miss class, notes are mandatory - tests are not essay, but he asks stuff you dont think to study about - requires you know first AND last names of people!

Maybe this class is easy for some people but I made straight 100's in my AP History class in high school and I am failing Mr. Whiteaker's class. He lectures the whole time and doesn't give you a study guide or anything. You cover about 300 pages in the book per test so it is impossible to follow along. I don't suggest taking him.

How hard is it to take notes? Just write down what he says and study it. He really knows his stuff. Attendance may not be mandatory but I wouldn't miss a day because he covers a lot of material. If you are like me and hate essay then this is for you. Alot of pressure because there are only three tests. He gives extra credit, so use it.

This guy is hard! If you know history well already, then take this class. Lectures are unorganized (and interesting on some days) so it's hard to know what to study. If you learn best from the book(like me), then don't take him because tests don't come from the book. How can you study the words on the board if the questions aren't from the book?

Dr. Whiteaker is one of the most interesting histor teachers I've ever had. He talks a lot about sex and violence, so his class is very interesting. Most important, there is nothing better than staring at his sexy, balding red fro in class. It will intrigue you.

If its on the board write it down and STUDY IT! NOt a day before the test. No matter what you will miss some on the tests. They are hard, learn that now and do soemthing about it. more than half my class dropped it on the last drop day. Good luck and God speed!
