I graduated from this college several years ago and still miss Larue and his classes. I think he is clear, understanding, and most of all, you will leave knowing how to apply classroom material to the real world. I took at least 6 classes from him in undergrad, and to this day remember how he gave real feedback, but will let you know hoe to improve

Larue is a great professor! His teaching style is different but refreshing. You'll go through the semester having fun then suddenly realize you actually learned a lot. He is more of an intellectual so class lectures are conversation based not so much text, quiz and paper based. Any papers he does assign are easy and just a few papers.

I've had Larue for several classes and like his style of teaching. He applies real world application instead of the regular dry text work all the time. I've found him to be fair, approachable and respecting his students.I choose to take him whenever I can. I am an A student and ease depends on which class taken, some require more work than others.

larue is so laidback and is so easy. he doesnt grade things handed in late, but when u write a paper he is not a hard grader. larue is an amazing prof and is good at what he does...he never uses the books so dont bother buying them

He tries too hard to please those who support his every word. He understands his subject from a particular point of view; you have to be careful what you say. Give him back what he says in class (if you can stay awake) and you will pass. If you can find someone else who teaches what he does, go for it.

Very helpful and brings real world examples into the classroom. Very ethical. Tests require a lot of writing and you need to know your stuff. Very smart and observant. Never heard any religion in class, but hey some of us like christian guidance counselors.

He might be "fun" and "awesome" but what I want to know is where is the sociology in this course(theory, micro/macro levels of analysis, methodological frameworks)? He teaches like a christian guidance couselor, not a sociology professor. This might work at summer camp; it sure does not in college. His class is joke for true college students.

there is no way to not mention a little about religion because this country was founded on the institution, so like it or not- it is relevant to Marriage & Family. This is a good course and Larue is a good teacher!
