Laura was a pretty good professor. She was very accessible outside class and always ready to help. Her classes were somewhat boring, but everything we did in class helped us prepare for the essay we were writing. She is a tough grader, but she is fair and she gives great feedback.

Her lectures aren't comical, they are to the point & direct. Student's interpretation of what is being analyzed, is always upheld & honored (as long as it's reasonable), grade isn't based on a wrong interpretation. Do the reading & you'll do great, slack off, & you're doomed to fail. High volume of essays. Very knowledgeable-great professor!

Does not hold a very interesting class. If it wasn't for the fact that I sit up front, I would fall asleep in every class. She is very passionate about Literature but that doesn't translate to her teaching.

This was my least favorite class this semester. I dreaded coming to class because she was extremely unenthusiastic and monotone. She speaks in a very low and calm manner making it hard to hear. She is a tough grader and doesn't explain things well. I would not suggest her!

As a more gifted writer, I found myself somewhat unenthusiastic about this class. I didn't feel as though my papers were graded as impartially as they could have been. I also feel as though clarity was somewhat of an issue, although students did have many opportunities to rewrite their papers for a better grade.

Class wasn't too hard because I had great writing teachers in high school; there are quite a few assignments but it felt like a lot of busy work. Didn't love the teacher, but would take the class again rather than risk getting someone worse.
