Gave everyone 100% for the first week's assignments, so they won't drop the class. Second week, different story. Takes points off for no real reason, gives feedback as to why the points are taken, but the reasons are unfounded and are not backed by facts. Perhaps the assignments were not fully read and understood by the instructor.

By 40, you've had several classes and several teachers. When I tell you Laura Pogue is the worst I've ever had, it really says it ALL. She tries to make a simple topic complex and difficult. Perhaps her behavior makes her feel more relevant? YES, she is the same one teaching at Saint Leo University. Good school but they need to screen staff better.

Copy and pasted EVERY response in the class, and didn't even bother to match fonts to hide it. Refused to speak to students personally. Deleted posts with viewpoints she didn't agree with, and then lied about doing so. If possible, do not take courses with this professor!

Dr. Pogue is the worst instructor I have ever had. She is a cut and paste instructor that pays no mind to what the students have posted, never responding substantively to the students' comments. She is slow to respond and does not appear to care.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with and learning from Dr. Pogue. Her communication and feedback was precisely what I needed. My grades were good, but more importantly when she marked me down for anything that I submitted she explained why, which allowed me to improve. For me that's what it's all about, learning and becoming better. Great Instructor!

Dr. Pogue was inconsistant at best during this class. It was an online course and her direction was awful and not timely that is required in an online course. Her website was confusing and she used another professor's materials that were outdated. I would not rec. her @ SOU.

uses old sylabus and does not update it before using with new classes and information had changed. Didnt release course reference number till right before class, so students couldnt utlize buying used books and thus saving money. Answers to questions asked were convuluted in her responses. Grade for her: D

Fair grading criteria (very lenient), but she seems to serve more as a moderator as opposed to an actual teacher. You will most likely be on your own if you want to learn anything in her class.
