By far the best professor I had at UD. If you enjoy history at all you will look forward to his class each day, and even if you havent been a fan in the past I challenge you not to enjoy it. Learned a tremendous amount and was an extremely rewarding experience. Would strongly recommend to all.

There is a lot reading but there is only 1 test and then 3, 7 page papers. No final! But he's always willing to help and is a very nice guy. Just take notes and class and do your best to stay on top of the reading.

Flockerzie is an extremely intelligent guy and is very passionate about history. He relays the material in an interesting and relateable manner. Lot of reading the second half of the semester. Take if your a reader.

Flockerzie is the best professor at UD. He's hilarious even though he doesn't try to be, and you can tell that he is super passionate about what he does. As long as you show up to class and do the readings, you shouldn't have a problem passing. A few tests and papers make up your grade, but none are too difficult.

Flockerzie is the man. History is not a fun topic, but he makes it interesting because he is so intense about the material. Take him, you will learn a ton. Class is clear- You have to read once every week and write 2 papers w 2 tests. Participation does count, but you will want to come to class, bc his lectures are that good. Take him.

My favorite professor at UD (took all 3 of his 300 level classes). Extremely knowledgable, helpful, and easy to follow/understand. I would recommend him to anyone from some one in need of a required course to a history enthusiast. You will leave his class having a depth of understanding of the material you didn't think possible.

Excellent professor. He was incredibly knowledgable and enthusiastic. Made going to class enjoyable. Very easy to manage work load; Midterm, final, and two essays on books we read for the class. If you want a great history professor, this is your guy.

Great Professor. Challenges you to think about the way the world works especially when it comes to History. Nice guy who cares about his students, even if he gets a little worked up. His work load is perfect for the level of class.(not too much, not too little by any means) All around one of the best profs I've had.

I've been out of Dayton for a few years now, but I can say without hesitation that Flockerzie remains one of the best profs I ever had. Loves what he teaches and it shows. Don't miss the chance to take him. I had him for 3 history classes and they were all my favorites - challenging, but insightful and enlightening.

Awesome professor. Very good for historiography seminar. Explains things very clearly and is more than willing to help if you need it. Talk movies with him and he'll go on for half the class. I highly recommend taking him if you're a history major or just need to take a history class.

Really interesting class and teacher. He is willing to help his students and is interested in his students thoughts on the lecture. Papers are hard but manageable if you listen. Great teacher--I plan on taking him again for next semester!

Flockerzie definitely knows what he is talking about when he is lecturing in class. however, i find him to be rather dull and uninteresting, and he seems to have a bad temper most days. the nice thing about the class though is that we have take home essays, which he assigns over a period of time.
