It doesn't really matter if you read the poems ahead of time, he explains them fully in class. But he does go into details about the poems for you which is nice. The novels are not too overpowering. Overall nice class, he offers more help than I expected him to and his grading isn't as tough as I had heard before I took the class

Better than I expected. Challenging texts, but decent discussion on them. Ample time given to read and respond to the literature. Goes off on tangents occasionally but rather funny at times. Is willing to help you improve your writing and gives opportunities for revisions of written work. Overall good.

He can be very rude at times. If he does not like a paper topic you have chosen he will make rude comments about it so that the entire class will hear. Then when you go to talk to him about it he will not listen to you.

An oddball if ever there was one. Should be holding court at an ann arbor coffee house. Can be so funny at times I think a drop came out, but can be difficult and boring, too. 3 classes with him. James Joyce stinks.

Didn't get along at first, but then found his soft spot and a common ground we could both relate on....I now think of him as one of the best teachers i've ever had.

His class is an easy A as long as you agree with everything he says and don't try to introduce new or challenging ideas. He has an issue with women, demeaning both female characters and female students. Also, instead of discussing the literature, much of his class is spent watching movies.

Rudnicki is the best!!!! I remembered everything I learned in that class and have since built upon the lessons that he gave us. He instilled love and understanding of poetry as well as developing trust for my own thoughts and voice. My writing peaked in his class! He is great!
