Lea was the definition of a perfect prof. She was very attentive all throughout the semester & gave great feedback on exams and the paper that you write. She is very passionate about Ancient Rome. Her exams consisted of short answers and an essay question. She is one of the few profs who will remember your name all semester, which is very nice.

Lea is a decent prof. The lectures can be boring at time. It's easy to get a B on the midterms if you study, even if you didn't pay attention in lecture much. Would 100% recommend as a first year course, not an overly demanding course. Gives great reviews for midterms and final. Drops hints in class too so show up to lectures!

Dr. Stirling is the model all profs should be rated against. She is knowledgeable as well as kind and accessible. She has interesting lectures and teaches in a very open minded way. She isn't opposed to listening to students who have previous experience in the area. She seems to want the students to succeed and enjoys her job.

Really enjoyed her class. She is very passionate about her field of study and gives clear explanations and questions are always encouraged. Grading on assessments is fair and she gives good feedback on them. Wants her students to succeed. Opportunity for extra credit also by going to lectures outside of class time. Would definitely take again.

Professor Stirling is a great professor. She knows her stuff and is very fun in class. She is accessibly outside of class time and very willing to help if you ask. There are tests and one essay. She is very clear on how you are graded and if you study hard you will get a good grade. Definitely a well recommended professor and a fun course!

Amazing prof! Loved her lectures! I am in the midst of another classics course now. Really nice, gives extra credit if you go to lectures outside of class time. Her feedback on papers and exams are great. Going to her outside of class - she'll take the time to make sure you know what you know what you're doing!

Lea Stirling is my favourite professor so far. She is very passionate about her topics and work and makes learning the material fun. She made Intro to Ancient Rome my favourite class, and has sparked an interest in Classical Studies in me. I may even go into the faculty. I aced her testsmidterms, got an A in one report and a B+ in the other.

She is a touch marker. and her grading doesnt make sense. list date, medium, artist, location, and two points. out of two marks --- forget one and you only get one mark on the entire question. so dumb.

She is extremely helpful and a nice marker. The course is intimidating at first because one must do additional research to recieve an A, however researching really hammers info into the brain, making tests easier. Great prof!

Loved this prof. She was extremely helpful and remembered everyone's names. Disagreed with some of the marking, but the class wasn't especially hard. The other comments were probably just from people who didn't go to class. I would love to take another class with her.

Boring, boring, boring. Time for her to RETIRE. Does not have a clue how to teach a language course and in her Roman Art and Arch, she teaches the same thing over and over - Roman busts, as if the Romans had no other form of artistic expression. Is stale and should hand over her classes to someone NEW.

WRT the previous comment: What did you expect? It's a language that must be repeated several times so that the material sinks in. Monotone? You are declining verbs! No kidding its a little monotone! She was fantastic as did a great job. Highly recommended.
