At first the assignments seem pointless, but they make sense later. There is ALOT of writing, but it helps to improve you're writing for future classes. Her grading is a little inconsistent. If you take the time to bring your drafts for you to help you, your grade will be better. She is a tough teacher, not reccomended unless you love english.

Lots of pointless assignments. 10-15 assignments per paper that don't particularly help. She is a biased, inconsistent grader. I got a C on a paper because she disagreed with my viewpoint. It's easy enough to get a good grade if you meet with her prior to turning in papers and write them with her viewpoints in mind.

She reguires a ton of pointless work. Aviod her if you can. She acts like she's all unbiased about things but she is so far from it. She's one of those teachers that if she's in a bad mood, then your grade will reflect it. if she doesn't "feel" or get emotional about your papers, then you get a bad grade. don't take her!!!

There is a lot of busy work..but some of it actually helps with the papers. The class isnt very exciting, but its tolerable. She is nice, and willing to help. I brought a paper to her office to discuss, and she helped me analyze it. I like her a lot, and although the class isnt a breeze, its not too bad.

I LOVED this class. This is the first English teacher who I found helpful. She was open to your ideas as long as you could back them up. Definately not a teacher to whom you can suck up. I got an A in her class and I normaly don't get A's, but I did put a lot of work into this class.

Ms. Schriner is really a great teacher if you put in the effort. Do your work thoroughly and on time and she's great! I got Cs on papers in highschool and get As in this class. There is a LOT of work, especially towards the end, but I think that is true of ALL english comp classes. Take this class!

Let's be honest, writing papers can be a drag. However, Ms. Schrinier is not a bad teacher. She is not always clear on what she wants from you, but if you could write papers well in high school than you will do fine. I always got "B" papers in high school, but I am getting "A's" on papers. Not Bad

She really isn't bad, most of the negative responses are most likely from people who are lazy. You will write a lot of papers, all you need to do is pace yourself. The class is very organized and an A is very possible if you do what she tells you.
