Not one of the best teachers I have had. I have had her in several classes. She is unorganized, assigns a TON of work, including several big projects and teaches a boring class. The only upside is she gives you the midterms and whatnot beforehand for you to study

Seriously...WCSU needs to do something about this professor.Not only is she unorganized and has her students do unbelievable amounts of work, she degrades them and belittles them in front of others. I'm not a teacher yet, but in the public schools this falls under the bullying catagory. She is useless!

Dr. Stambler is a great professor! She knows the material that she is teaching and she conveys the information very well. Is she hard? Yes. Does she expect a lot out of her students? Yes. It's totally worth it though! She's a great professor teaching her students how to become great teachers. I highly recommend taking her classes!

she's not easy and there's a lot of busy work but if you actually care about the education field you will learn so much from this women. she legitimately cares and to me that is what makes a great teacher. she's also easy to negotiate with on assignments and tests.

WORST PROFESSOR EVER. This woman is so scatter-brained that she assigns unbelievable amounts of work without even realizing it. Assigns 20+ pages of writing EVERY WEEK. Expect to dedicate two full days a week to the homework for this class and barely get by with that. Takes all her lessons from prepared plans and doesn't grade the homework. LAZY!

The worst professor at Western that I have had in my 6 years there. Her class provided more confusion than answers, she wanted us to come early, yet she was always late, she was rude and talked down to us when we didn't understand the gibberish she was spitting out. Unclear demands, didn't hand work back, or didn't grade it. HORRIBLE.

Dr. Stambler really is not that bad. Everyone thinks she is mean and is the devil, but get to know her, and she is pretty funny. Her classes are boring, but she makes them fun at times. Lots of busy work, but stay on her good side, have her know your name, and you are good for the entire semester...Really, do not be afraid..

Dr.Stambler was wonderful to have as a professor. She is a delight she is a witty woman who is exteremely polite and loves what she is doing. Age has no barrier and longevity is something that educators she admire. She clearly knows what she is doing where she is going and what she wants from you. She is extremely democratic in her approach.

This lady was an absolut nightmare!! Avoid her at all costs!! The problem is that if you are enrolled in the Education program there is no way around her. It amazes me that she has lasted as long as she has. Good news is that she is taking a much neede sabatical, so do what you can to complete the Education requirments while she is gone.

Does anyone from the WCSU administration ever browse through these comments and see what students really think of a professor vs. what we are FORCED to bubble in on the end of the semester surveys? Dr. Stambler's teaching days are obviously over and WCSU should take action to replace her. She is a terrible model of what to do in the classroom.

A total waste of time. Lots of busy work that she considered important, but was not relevant to the class. Had to complete formal lesson plans for her final project (clearly and undergrad task). Nice lady and was willing to answer questions, but has a lot of them as she is very unclear. Never returned material that she assured us she would mail.

A disgrace to the teaching profession. After hyping up the "analytical paper," she took all of our postage-paid envelopes, and never gave them to us. She really did avoid emails of me and 3 others. I wish WestConn would wake up and can her. She is really bringing down the ED department. Avoid taking classes with her if you can.

By far...the poorest teacher I have ever had both undergrad and grad! Gives busy work while she goes to photocopy useless handouts for that evening's class. Comes "mentally" unprepared for class. Disorganized and rude. Takes forever to grade work. Talks down to teachers who are undoubtedly more professional and organized than she. Come on WCSU!
