The best professor you will have in your college career. Easy-going but serious about the subject he teaches. Great for helping to improve writing, will always be available to meet. Okay about pushing-papers back. Extremely, extremely knowledgeable and well-versed in English lit. Just an all-around great person.

Professor Goldberg sometimes got a little bit sidetracked during class so a discussion often became a lecture but he is so interesting and intelligent that what he has to say is more than worth hearing. The class was fairly easy (there was a weekly paper but it was minimal) but if you paid attention you could get a lot out of it.

Professor Goldberg is a good combination of an easy professor and brilliant lectures. He is arguably the smartest person I've ever met, but also his class is fairly easy. Great class and overall one of the best professors at. Gettysburg.

AMAZING! Class might be a bit dull, but he is a fantastic adviser and a wonderful help outside of class! Literally would not be where I am today without Len! Truly a caring person who wants to do whatever he can to help his students.

Len was a great guy and very nice. His classes are very boring and you can get by without reading or taking notes. I was too bored with this class though and did not learn anything

So I found him a bit too much of a rambler at first, but by the end of the semester I really liked him. Sometimes the class was boring- because he rambled a lot- but also because few people participated in or were prepared for the class. He is a very good and fair grader. He tells you what mistakes you make and helps you fix them.

Professor Goldberg's classes are hard, no doubt about it. But taking his class gives you the opportunity to become a much better writer by spending time focusing on areas of interest and ways in which to ensure that when you write, it's really about something you're interested in.

Professor Goldberg is a nice guy, but the classes are dry and boring and most of us have no idea what he's saying half the time. He gives really good comments on papers, but he assigns way too much reading at the same time. If you don't mind being lost and bored, take the course.

Professor Goldberg is an awsome english teacher. The meaning he can extract from a piece of literature blows my mind. Even when I didn't always understand what he was talking about, he was still pretty interesting to listen to. I'm not a huge fan of romantic poetry and lieterature, but this class was still worth taking.

(I also took him for FYS168) Professor Goldberg is an amazing professor. He's always extremely willing to help and will respond to e-mails on the weekends (not all profs will do this). His classes are fun and very interesting. The readings are wonderful, too. He's just wonderful :-) Oh, and his outfits are amazing! I wish I dressed that nicely!!

Though I've only had a handful of college professors so far, Len Goldberg is by far my best. He is staggeringly brilliant but also humble, helpful, and quietly humorous. His classes can get a tad boring when he resorts to lecture, but that doesn't mean that what he's saying is irrelevant or uninteresting. I've never had a better paper grader!

I agree, one of the best professors, hands down. He expects you to do the reading and have something to say in class, so don't think you're going to coast by with him. He obviously takes a great deal of time to grade and remark on papers. I still keep in touch with him, 10 years after I graduated. A brilliant, warm, kind, funny man.

If you have the opportunity of taking Lenny's class, do so. He let's you rewrite papers until you get the grade desired and really doesn't care much if you hand in papers a little late. I've done so and was docked nothing. He's also a great guy, very inte
