Professor Gruber is by far one of the best professors at this school. His class is never dull, plus the tests are super easy if you just pay attention in class. There are no 'secrets' about what will be on the test. Plus he is very funny. Highly recommend anyone to take German if they need classes.

Awesome professor, engaging, and very funny. Dr. Gruber is exactly what you would want in a professor. Not only is he a good teacher, but he is a great friend as well and is always willing to help anyone. He will never put you down and no question is stupid in his class. HIGHLY recommend Dr. Gruber. I had him for German Culture last semester. I took this class by mistake instead of Ger. 101, but I found this class to be very informative, thus staying until the end. Class is fairly easy, just take notes and study. I did not even touch the textbook for the final, although it is recommended. I recommend this class to anyone interested in Germans.

I took a 77 question exam in 11 minutes and got 100%...so that basically sums up the class. He's soo funy and knows the limits of his students. I highly recommend him because he's easy and really knows Germany

alright professor my complaints are he doesn't use a textbook. you will save some money but on the other hand the course material will be spread over forty power point files. The course consist of discussions,a research power point paper, but your grade will depend on the final exam.If you did well on disccussions and power point it wont matter

took german 100 as an elective and i couldnt be happier with the type of education i got from it, the book isnt used very often but is actually a very easy and interesting read and like $15. you learn from someone who has experienced it, not just studied it. plus the guy has a great sense of humor. i HIGHLY recommend him

Dr. Gruber is a really cool professor, absolutely full of humor, a really nice guy and very helpful. Learned more german from him in 2 weeks than my mom could in 6 years. His quizzes are not very tough, but tests can be a little hard. If you ever take german at edinboro, take his classes.

If you're serious about learning German, go to Germany. Gruber is a cool dude, Not a very good teacher. Fun as hell..funny, interesting, great stories. He must spend 0 minutes preparing curriculum. Being a college prof. was never so easy. Not enough stimulus in the class to absorb a new language. Good guy though.
