Took him for an intersession class. Was very receptive to student feedback on structure of class. Tests were very difficult but were mostly definitions and application. He curves them so that they're fair. Very intense, but very engaging. It's an easy B but you have to work for an A. He has a sense of humor and interesting personality. Good class.

Kloft is hard but very helpful. We had quizzes online for every chapter we covered and he put them up at the last minute, like a day or two before the test. If you read the book and go to class, you may be okay. He curves all his tests and gives you plenty extra credit before the final. I would recommend him.

He's tough. Rushes through material. You will need to read your book thoroughly. If you just know all the key terms and their verbatim definitions (from the book), the tests are really just a bunch of definitions with limited reasoning.

Kills you with work, NEVER take a winter intersession with this Professor. Tests and Quizzes are extremely hard and tricky. Potentially extremely effective in a full quarter, but its a mistake to have him teach shortened sessions.Doesnt know how to scale back based on time availaible. I would definitely recommend him for full qtr Econ classes.

FROM WHAT I HAVE HEARD, KLOFT IS BY FAR BEST ECON310 TEACHER AT WSU. HE IS AN EXTREMELY SMART MAN THAT KNOWS A LOT ABOUT MANY THINGS IN GLOBAL ECONOMICS. THIS IS A TOUGH CLASS FOR SUMMER CLASS, TOO MUCH TO LEARN AND DO BETWEEN TESTS, GROUP PROJECTS AND READING CHAPTERS. HE EXPECTS A LOT, CURVES EVERYTHING ON TESTS TO 75 AVG. TAKE HIM!

More concerned with you learning how smart he is rather than you learning the actual material.

Easily the worst class I've ever had. Unclear expectations. Tests on material that isn't even assigned. Many will fail, although he will curve, but you'll feel you're failing the whole quarter. He has a dry sense of humor that can be funny, but his course is too chaotic to appreciate.

The actual class is not hard to get through and is actually enjoyable. He is a nice professor who will help you when you ask for it. He is big on English Grammer, so if you take him for writing intensive credit, be prepared to get an English lesson every class. Test are very hard...you have to take what you have learned in class and apply it.

I kept putting off this class becasue Econ is not my thing, but Kloft is a good teacher - at least he brings some humor into the lecture. Tests are hard, you practically have to memorize the textbook, but its okay.

Great Professor. Uses his good sense of humor to help keep your interest. If you go to class, skim through the chapters, and can do ok on the online quizzes, you will do well on the tests and in the class.

He is a very hard professor but if you go to class, read the book, and take notes you will pass. Attendence is not mandatory but going will help. Tests are analytical and hard but he lets you do 1/2 credit corrections and curves the final grades. good professor even though he's tough.

Worst class ever. Even being my first economics class, he is a complete puzzle. He is all about analytical questions. Our first test average was 65. He does curve, but its almost no help. I've been to every class and think I understand the subject until his tests. I've heard the teachers with accents are better. Absolutely impossible tests/quizzes.

Uses obscure words to confuse students on test and in lecture,ex:tangent, bequeath, nonlinear often thrown in the same sentence. Maybe he has not realized there is no point in teaching if no one can understand the message? **bring your trig book and dictionary I guess

I hate economics so the class is HORRIBLE, however, if you need to take ECON 310, take it from Professor Kloft. He is at least enjoyable and funny.

HARD!This guy is funny but he is hard to understand. He is really boring when he isn't joking and it puts you to sleep which doesn't help your understanding.I hate Econ. The only thing good about this guy is the tests and quizzes are onlineso you know your grade right away!

This class was so boring. I hate econ though so that could have something to do with it. The class is hard but he curves a lot. If you go to his office hours he is very helpful and wants to help so that's cool. If you take him, don't get stressed about your grade, he doesn't update them and you really don't have your grade until after finals.

HARD!I'm sure this guy knows his stuff but he is not very good at teaching it.If you are not an econ major this guy will be difficult for you. There is a lot of online stuff and he does curve. He makes the tests crazy hard.It seems like he is a prof that wants people to do bad but then he bumps up their grade anyway.Do NOT recommend!
