He truly makes the class more complicated than it should be. If you have to take him, take it online so you can use the book and notes. Don't bother with the powerpoints unless you are really stuck. He's not going to answer your questions, so use practice problems to help. Most assignment questions are based off the ones in his book. He's no help

Though I received a passing grade I still regret taking this class and thinking about this professor is going to anger me for a while. He told me I wasnt aloud to question him because hes a professor. he thinks he deserves the utmost respect by everyone but doesnt reciprocate the respect to students. I would reconsider if you are taking his clas

Onyiah isnt very considerate of his students. Tough to understand. Gets angry when asked questions about the material. All homeworks/tests require hand-written work that takes extensive time, but you are not given enough time to complete. Worst professor ive ever had, and its not close.

DO NOT TAKE CLASS WITH HIM! Can't understand him, and makes you feel bad for asking questions. Homework takes hours and is extremely hard. I wasted money and withdrew cause I couldn't stand it anymore.

Worst Professor I've ever had. Makes you feel bad when you ask a question. Is very hard to follow. Homework assignments take hours and test are very difficult. Do not take him if you don't have to!

Do not take him. If you ask questions he will denounce and embarrass you. He then gets angry people won't answer questions. Also he got mad at our class and stopped posting lectures on d2l to punish us. His book is full of errors and does not explain equations and formulas.

Comment:
Professor Onyiahs accent is difficult to get used to, so it definitely requires active listening on your part. (I would recommend seeing a tutor.) He genuinely cares about the success of his students and encourages questions. Hes not the greatest teacher, but hes a nice guy and will meet you halfway as long as you put forth the effort.

Very strong accent that I could not understand at all. I'm currently taking this class and regret it very much. I wish I would have not purchased the book and have chosen a different professor. He does not go over examples with students like other Math teachers. Avoid if you can.

Let's start with the fact that he teaches from his own book that he wrote. His presentations were stale and boring and hard to understand, he is also very careless of job oblogations, especially law enforcement. I had to use the tutoring season and I was told by them that he doesn't teach statistics the correct way. Find a different teacher!

Difficult to follow lecture, and the book he wrote that you are required to purchase is full of errors. The online homework system doesn't work very well, but the professor does go back and grade everything personally, so don't worry if you get 5% on your first assignment. Mocks students for questions and then is annoyed by lack of questions.

Worst teacher ever. Does not speak or listen well. Is not very nice. Makes you buy an expensive text book that HE wrote (and its garbage). I withdrew from the course and took it with a different teacher, passed easy. He is a content expert with zero teaching skills.

HORRIBLE! Condescending, unethical, unprepared. Book not in bookstore must buy from him in his office, cash only. First exam given nine weeks into course all failed average grade 30%. Only one graded homework before exam. Keeps saying not to worry about grade we can come up to his office to negotiate grade with him. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

THE WORST! Condescending, disrespectful, rude, arrogant. Can't answer his own questions, not HELPFUL. MUST grade on a curve or everyone would fail. Doesn't know how to teach, frustrated when asked question, won't help you. How is he a teacher, why hasn't he been fired yet? Avoid like the Plague. Class average score on tests was a 59% an F.

I took him technically took him twice - started with him for fall semester but withdrew after the second class and then again the spring semester but this time online. He never responds to emails and insists that his way is the correct way. We had to use a VERY expensive textbook that he wrote full of errors, Never take him, ever.

Takes too long to enter in grades. Has no formal tutor for his class which can be a problem when taking online. Lots of mistakes in the textbook that he wrote himself which again make it harder to learn for his class.

He really does care and want his students to understand the material, but he makes it so much harder than it needs to be. He writes his own text books, and they are filled with errors! Communication with him is extremely difficult, and he hates being told when he's wrong. I wouldn't recommend this class, take it with someone else!

One of the worst professors I have ever had. He goes way too fast during lecture and if you ask a question, he answers it in the most confusing way. The book helps, however, it has many errors making it difficult to actually study. He uses an online homework system, takes HOURS to complete so do NOT wait until the last minute to do it.

Worst class I've ever taken. I got a B+ in stat 193 and I'm failing this one. He is not helpful at all. Makes fun of the students that asks questions or askkr help. He is so rude and everything in his book is wrong. He is also extremely unfair. I do not recommend taking stats with his prof!

This class (but mostly him) made me hate life completely. If you value your happiness and sanity at all, do not take this class with him what so ever. It has been a semester since I had him and it still haunts me in my nightmares.
