Took his class in Summer 2 and didn't have the best time. For 3 hours a day I didn't learn much. His quizzes are super easy but his tests are pretty tough so you'll have to study a lot of the material in the book to catch up since he doesn't post finished powerpoints, only guides for in-class notes.

VERY HARD CLASS IF YOU AREN'T EVEN INTERESTED IN THIS TOPIC! Had to take this class for GenEds and it was awful. He says attendance isn't mandatory but it actually is, that is actually your participation grade FYI. The rest of your grade comes from tests which are basically impossible. He really should add some other points to his grading!

I would never take a class with him again! He is very boring and hard to connect with. Also, doesn't ever really know the correct answer to his own test questions. I was 12 points away from a B and he wouldn't compromise with me at all since there are "extra credit" points on tests. Really disappointed in this class.

Dr. Fay is very nice, but too smart to be a professor. He can't relate to students and it makes it very hard to ask him questions and get a helpful answer. Labs and map quizzes are very easy but his notes and tests are really hard to understand.

You have map quizzes about every week. His notes are very high level, so you are going to want to use the book. His tests are detailed so make sure you know the material. Review old tests because questions wil reappear on tests that follow.His lectures are boring.

I hate this class! He is a terrible instructor! All he does is show pictures the whole time! His test are very hard, and nothing that you learned in class. He frustrated me the entire semester.. He has a monotone voice and extremely boring.. Doesn't get excited about anything.. Don't do it!!

Took him for physical geography and I dreaded it. He is an easy grader and tries to make class fun. He doesnt expect you to read the book, so everything comes from his powerpoints. He gives about 15-20 extra credit points every test. He is a really nice guy, i would take him again

Very confusing man. You could ask him if a answer was right, he would say "yes" and then mark it wrong when you turned it in. Seems to pay very little attention to students and is a very tough grader and dings you for the tiniest error or even wording it wrong. I got an A but i would never take him again.

Biology is a dry subject but he tries to liven it up a little. His humor is dry, but detectable. He is very approachable and helpful if you ask questions. You MUST go to every class because you cannot make up a missed lab. Every week there is a quiz on last week's lab and the midterm and final exams are based on every lab.

I'm taking his Physical Geography. Class is torture,and hard for the students to stay awake. In class at least 3 people sleeps. 1 hour 15 mins seems like forever when he talks about clouds, or wind, or rocks. He doesn't have any energy. Jokes are not funny. He is a nice guy, but class is plain boring.

Does the best he can with such dry material. the attendance is not manditory, but weekly map quizzes make it so. Lectured right along with the book, so you don't NEED it, but it helps with clarification. GET THE RECCOMMENDED ATLAS
