This was my biggest mistake at BSC to date. This was supposed to be an intro class and it sure was NOT taught that way. Does not listen to students and feels as though she has the RIGHT to be rude.

ughh... shes really hard, dont take her class. I studyed for every test and quiz for a long time and still got 60's and 70's. Then for the final we did a presentation and she yelled at me for having a tounge ring. DISCRIMINATION!. IF you know music you should be okay but its a GER and she treats it like ur a genius at music... goodluck if u get her

Definitely a hard class, but I think it is worth it in the end. Prof. Goldberg really works hard to make sure everyone understands the material and does well. She really cares about her students, and will do almost anything to help them succeed. Clearly she is one of BSC's most valued professors.

This class was so much harder than I expected a music class to be! The listening quizzes are very hard, but you get used to them. She cares about the students. Make sure to study REALLY hard before the listening quizzes. 2-3 projects are assigned, along with a 5 page paper. UGH

She is deffiently goes way too in-depth for a GER, thinks shes teaching at Berkley :) The 5 page Genre paper is a REAL pain in the @$$, but if you just plan the work out and do it, its not that bad. The listening quizes are a joke.
