Finance is a hard subject (especially if you aren't a finance major) and Professor Douglas makes it manageable. Every test has a take home portion that you can check with her; so basically you get a free 20-25 points if you go to her. She does worksheets in class (not common in college) and this helps with doing the problems. Absolutely take her.

She is a great professor. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK! I'm the type that always buys the book even if people tell me not to and for this class I should've listened. Her tests come from the information she presents in class/powerpoints/sample problems. Do not waste your time and money buying the book.

Great teacher! Don't even bother buying the book. Everything you need is what she gives you in class. As long as you study the PowerPoints and the practice exams, an A or a B is manageable. Defiantly go to class it makes it a lot easier. I Highly recommend taking her. She knows what she is talking about and makes Finance easier to understand.

Average professor in most aspects. However, she is very helpful, which sets her apart. Only homework is 3 cases assigned throughout the course. They're fiarly time-consuming though. Tests are tough, but she gives you a good idea of what will be on them.

Douglas is pretty tough. She is always willing and happy to help, but the tests are almost always time strapped and there is not a ton of problems, which means you lose lots of points on each one wrong. Grade come from pretty much just tests. Take her, but be prepared to work hard and dont be afraid to chat with her outside of class-She will help.

You will learn a great deal through the case studies, even if the lecture style is a tad bit on the dry side. Take every opportunity to participate in class because it forms part of your grade. Be willing to make assumptions. She will tell you if you are on the right track with homework if you take the time to email/talk to her before class.

Tough professor. If you're not interested in Finance take someone else. She is available for help very often. She does curve exams and you get a take home section for each exam worth roughly 20-25%. Keep up with the material and do practice problems. Also, find someone who has taken her and get the old tests, they're pretty similar.

Great teacher. Go to class and you will be ok. Grade consists of 4 exams and that is it but part of it is take home. Take the take home into her office and she'll check your answers for you.
