I had Les for intro drawing and intro painting. He was a wicked prof. He bent over backwards for our class. He even invited us into his home to teach us how to make sushi. I felt he was fair with grading. He gave me one of my worst final grades, but I deserved it, and it made me work harder and my grades improved. I was sad when he left Grenfell.

Les Sasaki favours students who work hard, people don't like him when he calls them on when they could have done better and thats why. the truth hurts. Les is a good person and a sweet man. Work hard and you won't have a problem.

okay.. everyone says bad stuff but i have no problem with les. likes to joke, and very knowledgable and quite willing to share it. however i do find hes a smidge biased with painting styles and prefers you to paint the way he would like it. and of course hes going to be a jerk if you come to class late everyday, dont do anything and interrupt.

He's a skilled realist, which is his problem; he doesn't seem to respect anything else. He allows his personal life to affect his professional behavior. He chooses favorites and condescends. When people complain he acts perfect for a semester or two, then gets bad again. Be very careful with him
