pretty easy class if you do the work. don't need to take good notes for small group discussions or even read the books because she's leslie. very old and hard to understand and not clear on assignments. however, she's very passionate about anthro and sometimes tells interesting stories. *ALSO- do not volunteer to be the Audio-Visual assistant.

If you take this class, DO NOT under any circumstance volunteer to be the audio visual assistant. Overall, skim all of the books and write down random notes. She grades hard but other grades (such as the readings and other assignments) will bring your average up. Its not a super hard class if you don't mind waking up for it.

Assignments are extremely unclear and lectures are boring and unclear. She's a super sweet lady but needs to be more clear on which information is necessary.

You're expected to read full books in little time. The assignments are unclear. Her tests are based off of memorization. I advise not to take this class.

If you aren't interested in anthropology, do not take this class. If you are interested in anthropology, this class will make you hate it. There is a ton of reading involved (extremely boring I might add). She is a very tough grader too.

I don't know why she hasn't retired yet. She is very, very sweet, and makes you feel good when you visit her, but the class is horrible. Yes, she still uses VCRs, and while the class material should be interesting, all she does is lecture at a volume that is difficult to hear from the back. SAVE YOURSELVES! Don't take this class.

She is incredibly outdated- she sometimes shows documentaries on VHS tapes with horrible quality. She is against using computers in class, she does not know how to teach, although she is knowledgeable in certain, highly specific areas. Her definitions for key terms don't make sense. DON'T TAKE HER CLASS!

Sister Straub is one of the most passionate and intelligent professors on campus. She gets a bad reputation because she actually makes her students show up and do the reading. If you actually do the readings and participate you will have no problem getting an A.

Had Sister Leslie multiple times and I enjoyed all of her classes. Class lecture can be boring at times but the weekly discussions are very laid back and with regards to the final and midterm they are easy if you prepare for them. Nice lady!

Sister Leslie is a good teacher in my opinion. Very old fashion but she tells you what she wants at the beginning of the semester. Go to class because she takes attendance and do the work because it will be reflected in your final grade.

This class was the most boring and frustrating class I've taken at PC. She is stuck in her ways and makes you memorize pointless information. Biased grader, doesn't give partial credit. Overall, awful experience.

She is intense, and focuses a lot on other people's theories. Her tests are wicked hard, I had D's but somehow she decided to give me a B+ midterm grade. No idea how she decides that. LOTS of reading, LOTS of papers. Manages to make a wicked cool concept (Religion and Magic) wicked boring. Only if you're really interested in Latin American stuff.

Sister Leslie is super nice, & wants to make sure things are going okay for her students. Lectures are a little dull, but take notes & you'll be fine-she gives the exam essays beforehand, & the answers are from the notes-do a little prep work. Plan ahead for extensive readings; but some are really interesting, & the discussions are super easy.

nice lady, but gets off topic really easily. i thought this class was going to be interesting, but somehow, she found a way to make it all really boring. and if you think she made a mistake on your test, good luck, theres no way you can get her to change your grade

painfully boring. She doesnt listen to students opinions. If anyone questions her opinion she gets defensive. She believes she is always right. Hard tests(only 2 though). the assignedreading is dull. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS

She takes what could be really interesting subject matter (which she's obviously passionate about herself) into something painful to sit through. she treats you like you're in high school and is not helpful at all. def don't recommend this class.
