I thought he was a great teacher. He's very picky about essays, but I think he just wants the best for his students. You will learn how to write an acceptable essay. He does have his favorites and you can usually tell by the way he talks them. College is not meant to be easy; just study and get on his good side and an A or B is possible.

don't take the professors whose last name begin with an "P" or "S" is what most student were saying on campus. However, I registered late and was left with the choice of Professor Pollard. Pollard is a great professor. I learned a lot. I also passed the class.

He was descent I guess...likes to make you feel inferior and stupid...tests are hard...very critical grader...however, he let those of us who did not let his attitude get to us and turn in our research papers really early skip the final and have an A, no matter what we would have had otherwise...he is alright if you can take the heat and criticism.

he sucked!!and i went in with a good attitude.his test are very tricky.i had to turn in three research papers because he kept contradicting himself telling me one minute that he said this was ok,then turning around saying that it wasn't okay.he is NEVER in his office.expects you to skip other classes to come to his office.makes you feel inferior!!

Dr. Pollard was great! Of course, like many other teachers at ASU, I heard the horror stories... All to be proven wrong. Helps you learn but he expects his students to be able to right on an average level. I LOVED HIM GREAT TEACHER... IF YOU WANNA LEARN AND HAVE FUN WHILE DOING IT... HE'S YOUR GUY!!!!
