Lewis is a great teacher. I went into his Intro to Photography class with no knowledge and he was very understanding and willing to help. His assignments were very broad to give you a lot of freedom, and I learned a lot while never feeling too constrained. A great guy, hope to take one of his upper divs in the future.

Lewis is a good teacher although somewhat unclear at times. I found the in-class critiques a little too long and tedious, but he generally gave back helpful and honest feedback. I hope to have a class with him again.

Open to almost anything that has a solid concept. Will talk with you about almost any idea you have, and can really give inspiration through that. If you talk to him, you'll really get the real value of his classes in that. An excellent professor and te

Lewis is great if you already have a basis of photo and an idea to pursue. He is open to different concepts unlike some (namely Ingeborg). However, he does not give much direction and can often times be *too* nice. My advice.. take Ingeborg for Intro and L

Lewis was always there to help if you went to him with questions. He is not specific on what work he wants but is during critiques. He is a great person to have as a prof. and is very understanding.

Lewis is a great person. He doesn't like to limit his students creatively so he doesn't have much structure... little, if any. I would have liked more specific direction. He gives great individual attention, but is very vague in what he wants to see.
