The class was pretty easy. Mostly she just has you take notes on lectures and sometimes quizzes you at the end of class. For homework, you read the chapter online & take notes. Also, you visit a couple museums on your own time and write a short paper about it or take pictures.

This class was an easy A if you like art. Even if you don't like art going to a museum or sleeping through a lecture is pretty easy. Lila is a very easy grader but she does expect college level work because at one point she taught english. She is respectable and clear. She also offers lots of extra credit.

One trip to San Jose where she has arranged tours of various galleries, and other local gallery trips on your own. Highly recommended instructor!

I love Lila! I had to take her class for a writing requirement. I'm definitely not "artsie" however she made it incredibly interesting. She asks for student opinions instead of mind-numbing lectures, plus she knows a lot about her field. I definitely recommend her classes!

the class was boring at times but the assignments were really easy, she grades easy and as long as you do the work you will pass the class, i got an A out of it and i didn't have to put long hours into it or anything, she always made herself available for a cup of coffee to anyone who needed help

Possibly the best teacher on this campus! She made every class a fun learning experience, and made you seem as if you were doing nothing in the class yet when you walked out you knew so much more than before. Thats a great Teacher!

Staples: the best professor in VPA. A great lecturer, she knows her stuff, and gets the students excited about learning. Knows how to give constructive crit. plus very helpful and inspirational. Ms. Staples is a shinning star - should be teaching Captone.
