Dr. Chase may seem extremely intimidating at first, but she is actually a great professor. She is very difficult and expects a lot from her students, so the amount of work put into this class was almost everyday. Her grading is extremely picky so make sure you take great notes!!

Comment:

I took the Honors Legalization of Marijuana class with Dr. Chase. While she did expect quite a lot out of us (especially for our final papers), she really engaged the entire class in conversation and made the entire thing fun. On top of that, she is full of energy and always ready to help you if you need it.

Dr. Chase is an excellent professor, keeps the class interesting, knows the material, and is always happy and enthusiastic to be teaching. She can be intimidating because she holds her students to high standards, so just participate, show you care, and give your best effort. There is a lot to learn from her and she is always happy to help.

Dr. Chase cares a lot about her students and wants you to succeed, but (drumroll...) her class is structured in a way that makes success EXTREMELY difficult. Only the smartest accounting students manage to do above average in her class. Her lectures are WAY too fast and she expects you to know an absolutely asinine ammount of material for exams.

Dr. Chase is very enthusiastic and interesting, won't have to worry about falling asleep in her class. Highly encourages participation and in class examples, which really helped me learn the material. Cares about her students. You will get a really good understanding of accounting from her. Dr. Chase is tough, but you will learn more from her than any other accounting professor at BW. She's the best they have. She cares deeply about her students, but will not just hand out answers to them. You're going to THINK and spend hours upon hours doing her homework. But you will also KNOW accounting when you're done.

Terrible, dont take her for this class. She tests you on things she doesnt cover and concepts that she breezes over. She blames you for not getting it, when she is not explaining things. She rushes through things and reads off of the answer key, which anyone can do. problems in class are basic but not on the test. doesnt answer emails.

Chase is smart. But, she cannot teach. She goes straight to end of chapter problems ithout teaching one thing from the book. Class is often lost and confused. Expects you to know and learn accounting on your own because it's "not a course,but a career." She's just not good. Always rushing to finish her lesson. Talks about things that waste time.

She's a nice woman.However, she goes over things way too fast in class and isn't totally clear on things. When I took the class, she would give us pre-homework on chapters she had not even taught the class yet. This wouldn't have been such an issue had they not been graded for accuracy. I dropped the class to save my GPA.

Nice professor,explains everything clearly. Quizzes are based on class material. She's FUN! She was also my advisor, and this is where I had problems with her. He was very strict, did not display interest in my plans and desires at all. Forced me to take classes that I didn't had to take - waste of time, money, and credits - "thanks!".

Very energetic, so its hard to fall asleep in her class even if you find accounting incredibly boring. She keeps the class involved and is pretty good at explaining things. The homework was all online and was tedious but easy. No tests or final, but there were two major group projects instead.

Prof. Chase is amazing! She is such a great professor and makes class so enjoyable. She does such a great job at teaching the material and will help you in any way she can. Make sure you bring your book to class every day - we go over practice problems every class period. Great teacher!

Prof. Chase seems to understand what we need to learn as future auditors, but she doesn't communicate it effectively. More than half of the semester has gone bye and no one has really picked up anything from the class. She offers limited help. Wastes time talking about everyone's weekend rather than teaching. BW at its best.
