Even though her teaching lessons are dry, she adds quirkiness to the class. She will be missed as this was her last semester teaching. If you didn't get a chance to take her, you missed out on a great personality.

Very boring. It is hard not to fall asleep in class. Her notes and study guide has absolutely nothing to do with the tests. What is the sense of putting a study guide when 1/2 of it is not going to be on the test. I hated I every minute. You also cannot leave the room once you enter. She would ask you not to return, to class.

You need the textbook for this class. It isn't optional at all, her tests come more from the text than they do from the lectures, although the lectures do help a lot. She's a nice woman who wants to teach you how the world works through her class.

She is an incredibly intelligent woman with a witty sense of humor. I learned so much from her classes (Env&Cul & World Geo). I strongly urge everyone to take her classes. The tests require a lot of studying from the textbook, but the information is so interesting and relevant to current events so it doesn't feel like a burden. Definitely take her.

I graduated in 1990 and I thought I had a pretty good rapore with the woman. We had talks, I did well in class, she was friendly and helpful. I asked her to be a reference for me on a graduate application and she ripped me apart. I lost respect for her after that. I'd tell ya - careful with her.

She's nice enough. Tests are fairly difficult and it's true that you must keep up on top of the reading. Like she tells you, don't think you can study the day before and do good. Can get boring at times but she's a good teacher over all.

You guys at NP are very lucky to have such a high caliber prof.I graduated in 98. I took 3 classes with her. She was phenomenon. The knowledge I learnt in her classes I am using it in life and at work. You'll remember her whenever you go on vacation abroad, especially Latin America, or when dealing with people of different cultures. She is great. RS

I had her for two classes. She's head of the department and sometimes I think lets it get to her head but she is a good teacher. I loved the Understanding Latin America course. Term paper in the class only needs to be 6 pages which I liked. Brought in tons of magazines and newspapers from the region for examples in class which was fun to look at.

She's hilarious! My one prob is that I felt I deserved a higher grade than what she gave me. I probably should've approached her on it. Other than that, awesome professor.

Her lectures have nothing to do with whats on the test, she goes way over the time limit for the class, and her tests have the most specific multiple choice selections ive ever seen. She is not funny, and boring!don't take her class!!!

What an awesome lady. Very straightfoward about the material, not to mention she's quirky and fun. Tests are semi-difficult but nothing that an hour or two of studying doesn't fix. Final project is fairly simple. Easy to approach and VERY fair. Love her!!!
