Okay at teaching, but she took a trip and was gone for 4 class days. She required us to teach ourselves, and do my math lab AND homework problems from the book on top of that. We also had to be ready for a test when she got back. If I wanted to take an online math class, I would have. Students shouldn't have to teach themselves. That's why we pay to have somebody teach us.

Man, love her! So dedicated to the students. If anyone failed with her it's because they were lazy. Made us laugh all throughout the semester. She likes to give students a hard time, but it's done in a very funny, sweet manner. I am so sad I won't get to take her for calculus II.

Dr. Hand is just lovely. Her lectures are great, she's funny, she returns homework quickly, etc. She's great both inside of class and out. I can't say enough nice things. Also, she wears rad shoes, so if that's important to you, there ya go.

RUN for your life to another school if she is teaching this course ever again! She might be great for lower level courses, but not this course. Was so disorganized it was pitiful. Would talk around me to my adviser rather than talk to me. Did not feel welcome in class AT ALL!

Wants her students to do well, is encouraging and readily willing to help, though somewhat scatter-brained. Very funny. Uses "big ol' moron" as a joke (refering to herself more than anyone else), but not everyone gets that it is a joke. She is a push-over with deadlines. Class is fun and interesting, you'll learn new things. I would take her again!
