The professor writes good tests. Fair. You have to read the textbook to do well in the course. She is very nice face to face and will help. She listens to feedback, but doesn't require the TA's to give much so it's hard to improve on assignments. In class participation is pointless and irritating. It doesn't help toward your learning and is a waste

Very nice lady but i found this class really hard. She over complicated a lot of things. The lectures are long with really disorganized slides. The textbook and lectures are different material and BOTH and ALL of it is needed for the midterms and exam. Don't miss class because there are participation marks! Even if you have a co-op interview.

She made the course seem like it is rocket science-- it's not, just a bunch of theories that is probably obvious to you already. She over-complicates concepts and makes us try really hard to get a decent grade. Classes aren't too bad with activities, but are still really annoying considering it is a university course, not high-school.

Makes elementary school look difficult by comparison. Truly a bird course, so easy that it is hard.

Prepare to have to know everything. The simplest material has now become your worst nightmare. The assignments were poorly graded with 0 helpful feedback ( not the profs fault). Textbook readings absolutely mandatory. Textbook is hard to read, and material learned in class was not on the exam. Read the book and you wont have to attend class.

Probably one of the worse classes of 3rd year! Amount of questions on midterms from textbook is insane and you have to study and know pretty much everything. Material is fairly interesting but lectures are extremely boring. Not a general fan of psych so might be a bit biased bit everyone agreed exams were super hard.

She is a good prof, the classes are interactive. I took HLTH 220, it is basically psych class. The class as of 2013 has been totally changed, it is actually pretty easy with over 30% of the mark coming from simple participation exercises. Read the textbook. Go to class.

Amazing Prof!!If she isn't one of the best people you've ever met there is something seriously wrong with you. This class, however, did nothing for me. It's not really a health class, it's a psychology class. Be ready for that and you'll be ok. I wish she spent more time on older people and less on infants and children. This is a gerontology class!

Great course! Really interesting and unorthodox teaching style. If you take the time to attend lectures then it can be a very rewarding class. You definitely get out of it what you put in. Assignment explanations can be confusing.

horrible explanation of assignments even if she personally explains it, different than the marking. teaching has not much to do with the textbook, both of which you need to know for the exam.

-if you give it a chance after the first midterm things start to get more interesting. Just understand the structure for the first 3 lectures and the other stages will be easy to organize and understand. The prof is willing to hlp after class.
