Comment:

She does not give clear directions and when you ask for clarification she will copy and paste the original directions. Even if you try to follow her vague directions step by step she will find fault in something. She is not a fair grader or a good educator!

If you are a minor divert person, DO NOT Take any classes or accept any field experience with her, even if you do your assignment point by point she will find something to deduct points about, she will seem like she is helping but she will email you her piece of mind and deduct points.

Dr. Manning is a good teacher but her instructions are extremely vague! The chapters in the book do not correlate with the chapter titles she wants us to read. She will respond to emails fairly quickly but the direction is still vague. I think taking a class in person would be best. Even the rubrics are vague. Read the chapters!!

She cancels class all the time. She will cancel class for a week straight. It is early April, and she just sent an email that class is cancelled for the rest of the semester. Assignments each week, due Sunday. Not clear instructions, tough grader, but gives good feedback. Overall, if you choose to take a class with her, take it online.

My biggest struggle with this class was unclear instructions for some of the assignments. The class is organized a bit differently than I am used to (online), but once I got used to it it wasn't too bad. She does respond to e-mail pretty promptly (usually within 1 day).

I have had Mrs. Manning for a few classes. I never made below a 97 on any projects. She gave us her house number and cell in case we needed her. She wrote me a letter of recommendation for graduate school. She is hilarious and really relates to her students. I love Mrs. Manning, I wish she taught at the graduate level!

I really did not like this class. She is very unclear in directions. Most of the class sessions lasted 30-45 minutes long. Not worth taking as a face-to-face class. The assignments are not difficult, but there are a lot of them!! She also does not like giving examples of how to do anything in the class. She can be an unfair grader as well.

There are pros and cons. Pros: gives great feedback, willing to give you help with your assignments, and grades assignments on time Cons: instructions are extremely vague an confusing, emailing is a task, and good luck deciphering the titles of her content on eLearning

Manning is an alright teacher. She's not an easy A. There are several projects and lectures are more to do with different strategies to use in the classroom and have almost little to do with the assignment content. Her directions are unclear at times, but if you ask she'll guide you. You have to be a minute early to her class or you'll be "late".

Absolutely terrible online! Do NOT sign up for online course even if it is the only one offered- find another way. EXTREMELY unclear, takes less than five minutes to put her content together and her directions are not related to what is graded on the rubric. She continuously gives work back to you to resubmit because of her terrible directions

The class was interesting, but the professor was not clear on directions or helpful when you had questions. I, personally, felt that she was not going to give you a great grade on any project...she would count 20 points off for mislabeling.

I honestly don't know why she got such a low rating on here; she was by far my favorite teacher. She always gave very encouraging feedback like "Can I clone you?? This is great!" In class we mostly looked at books and ideas to use in the classroom. Interesting, easy, and a fun teacher. (:

DO NOT TAKE THE ONLINE COURSE! Unclear instructions and deducts points for every little thing even though you follow examples to a T. Then after the assignments are due, that's when she starts telling you what you should have not and not done. Takes forever to grade work and give feedback.

Took this course online. Horrible instructor. Unclear expectations, no grades for any assignments until the last 2 weeks of class, and no feedback. Did not use the 4 required text books at all. Lots of others in my class also complained throughout the semester about the instructor to no avail. The worst online course I have taken!

She is really down to earth and gives you practical activities to do with students. There is an assignment most weeks and some take a bit of work. Her "tests" are more like " writing assignments." She takes off a lot of points for missing class. Super sweet lady!
