I really liked Linda! I thought that she was very helpful and gave good feedback. She was more than willing to help anyone who needed help. Her tests are pretty clear cut and as long as you do the review you should do just fine. I would definitely take her again!

Comment:

She provides packets, uses MyMathLab(which is great) and will always help. I loved her and I am horrible at math. MML makes it easy to know what your grade is at all times. She inputs test scores quickly and responds to emails quickly. I highly recommend her, especially for a non-math person. She really provides you with a lot of ways to succeed.

I failed this class several times before... Math is not something I am good at. I hate it...I got an A in the class not because the material is easy because it is not by any means. Professor O'brien is so helpful I love her notes, all homework online which helps me so much to see what ive missed. She wants to you succeed, if you want to.

Class is learning + going over problems. Online homework/quizzes. Tests relate to notes and homework, I would recommend doing the practice tests they are there to help! She answers questions in the beginning about the homework. She has great clarity. Great math teacher, which is hard to come by. Her attitude is spunky, but I liked it.

I really enjoyed Linda's class this summer. I hope to take my remaining math classes with her! She will go out of her way to make sure you succeed, but you have to make an effort! It's simple-be respectful, come to class, do the assignments! She gave partial credit on exams, instead of just counting the whole problem wrong. She really does care! :)

Linda O'Brien is an amazing teacher, she's always willing to help out and is very good at explaining things. I never leave her class with a question & if I do have one she emails back promptly. I took her class in the summer & was nervous about it but she was great. The class uses MyMathLab so a lot of it is online but it's great software & easy.

As a returning adult student, I found Linda to be a great teacher. Put forth effort, attend class and do your homework and you shouldn't have any problems at all. If you don't understand something, she will do everything she can to help you succeed; all you have to do is ask.

I love Linda! I've had her in 3 different classes including college algebra. I was totally lost when it came to math before her. People complain that she's rude, but I call it character! She's a New Yorker, what do you expect? My Math Lab is also super helpful, almost makes it impossible not to get an A.

I can see why people think she is rude, she is a very straight forward person. She did get annoyed with people who hardly showed up for class, and expected her to teach them what they missed. I liked her teaching style. All the homework and test are on my math lab. Do the homework and practice test and you will be fine.

Living far below her high marks she is the worst professor I've had since attending college. Throughout the summer semester she was overtly hostile to questions and those seeking help. During lectures she would often get frustrated and threaten to leave. Only 5 students continued to show up to lectures.. Unhelpful, Unprofessional Stay Away.

was rude, everything done online, tests questions are 8 to 10 points a piece, miss one or two and that's a letter grade. I would avoid her if possible. Never would explain anything, would tell you to talk to her after class or email her, or view examples on "my math lab" i'm glad i don't have her anymore

Linda was great. She is one of the few math teachers that actually explains and teaches rather than just telling you and expecting you to know it. I struggled with college algebra for a while but once I took it with her, I passed easily. I hadn't taken algebra since my sophomore year of high school (10 years). I finally figured it out with her.

Mrs. O'Brien is a great teacher! She is very helpful with the content. If you take her, stick with it. There are so many that stop coming and just give up. She WILL work with you to help you succeed! I wish she taught calculus!

Professor O'Brien is fun and easy to work with. She really wants her students to succeed and does everything she can to help her students understand the material. The class is fast paced and done on MathLab. If you are in class and keep up with homework you should do great.
