Comment:

I really loved Dr. Reed and the class. Be prepared to read the textbook because the exams include textbook materials. Be prepared for Learn Smarts. The only problem of the teacher is that she forgets to reopen things and change grades. But if you keep reminding her, she'll eventually change it. She's very helpful and understanding.

This class was insanely easy, but I honestly didn't learn anything much at all. You get 3 tests and 3 papers. They're take-home tests. You also have to do those "Connect" exercises that we all know we don't learn anything from. Professor Reed is a sweet lady. She always has a story to tell about her past, but it tends to take up the majority of the class and is overall distracting from the topic.

Comment:

Lina Reed is kind of like the nice woman you want to watch your kids. She's very nice, but doesn't teach too well. She is not very tech savvy so it can be kind of frustrating sometimes. Her syllabus isn't very clear. She lets you decide how the course will be laid out and how you want the tests to be. She only tests general topics.

We never really had a test, just two four-page papers given to us on a Tuesday due on the Thursday or given on Thursday and due on Tuesday. She never lectures from the book, while to book holds no information ou could use on the papers. She rambles alot but she does have some interesting thoughts. Son't take her if you don't like longs papers.

Very funny feeling about this one. Ignored me completely many times, just acted as if i did not exist at times. She needs an attitude adjustment,too aloft. Lucky i knew my history...are i would have been left for the sharks, in deep water. Better know your history!

THE WORST TEACHER EVER! She has no idea what shes talking about, if she was to take the test herself she would fail! The tests are impossible, class avg. 60%, no curve, no sympathy, no shame! No matter how much you read its impossible. DONT TAKE HER CLASS! you have been warned!Oh and her T/A might as well not be there.

WORST TEACHER EVERRRR!! just dont ever take her class. Her and her TA are completely useless. test test cover nothing that is taught in class. the questions are worded very specific with multiple vague answers. She is old and stubborn!

Outright refuses to give slides from presentation. Goes through roughly 30 slides a class, making about 60 slides a week. Speeds through the material at lightning speed & doesn't stop for questions. She gets HUGH "F" from me!!!

I think the person below me is in my class. I wanted to see rating after today's class. Class average on test/essay was an no higher than 65%. Professor and TA are unorganized, clueless, unreasonable, and expectations surpass reality. AVOID THIS PROFESSOR AT ALL COSTS!!! DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER!!! She should be removed from the teaching staff!

This was an excellant class until the final exam. The material on the test was not in our lecture notes or reviewed in class. The test was fill in the blank when the teacher said it would by multiple choice. I did not recognize 90% of the questions. The teacher did not resolve the situation to my satisfaction.
