This was an excellent class with lectures that compliment the stimulating field activities of our beautiful San Diego. The lectures are so well prepared and presented. Professor Brazil truly cares. She gives invaluable feedback. If you really want to be enriched then take this class. She invites all opinions and never makes you feel stupid.

It's so hard to find a professor that actually cares. Her words and techniques stuck with me forever. I recently applied for college and requested a recommendation letter from her, and she did it, after two years, she still did it. Take her classes you will not regret it.

I don't think I learned a single thing in this class. She very rarely discusses any actual tools for writing other than things you literally learned in middle school such as alliteration and metaphors. She fills the class with a truckload of unnecessary tedious work which is incredibly annoying if you have a job or other difficult classes.

Professor Brazil is the most amazing, caring, and intelligent teacher I have ever had! I would surely take her class again. I got to improve my grammar, sentence structure, essay writing, and so many other things that will help me in my other classes. Pay attention in class. Her lectures are clear and fun to listen to. Really helps out with grammar and writing skills. She is there for you. Gives extra credit-make sure to do them! Ms. Brazil's class requires attendance in order to succeed. Her lectures are long, but they are worth it. She gives out more than enough extra credit during the semester. There aren't too many tests and only one or two simple pop quizzes. I definitely recommend her class to others who are not confident in writing.

Mrs Brazil is an excellent teacher, You will learn and retain all she has to offer if you attend class and participate. You will have to earn your grade and there are a few assignments in the class (4 paragraphs, 2 essays, 3 tests, 1 final grammar test) , but you will have set a solid foundation for future English classes. Mrs. Brazil is a fantastic teacher and this is coming from a less than academic student. I typically don't do too well at school, but her class was PERFECT. It was challenging, but all the assignments were for a purpose! She has a good amount of homework, but if you do it all, you will do well in the class. I have so much respect for her!
