Dr. Yang is a sweet little lady. She is always willing to help and very understanding if you email her about missing class or an assignment. However, she does take attendance every day which isn't cool. But the class was an easy A, just "read" a few books and write a couple of papers and you'll get an A, she's one of the easiest graders I've had.

Dr. Yang is fantastic! Only 4 papers for the whole semester and she allows you to do rough drafts and tells you exactly what you need to fix. She does take attendance but she counts it as a grade. There is no final, you just have to compile all of your essays into a portfolio. Take her! She is very nice and truly cares about her students.

Dr. Yang is a nice teacher that is very sociable and helps students with papers when they ask. The only category that she loses points in, for me, is that she asks questions that are quite interpretative and expects a precise answer. In this class, you read a good bit, discuss and watch LOTS of media. Enjoy!

Start with a paper about your goals, then a cover letter/resume, then you have to interview a professional in your field and turn their answers into a paper, finally a research paper. It seems like a lot but it's an easy A. 3 books were mandatory and she got mad if you didn't have them in class but I never used them except for the course pack.

Dr. Yang is awesome! she is very passionate about her work. She does alot of class discussions on readings and no test in class, just two major papers. She also shows movies during the semester which is relaxing. overall loved the class.

I dropped this class because someone in it really irritated me and I wanted to punch him in the face. But I did not have a problem with Dr. Yang, she was very encouraging and I really wish I could have finished the class with her. Very nice and understanding! We were off schedule a lot though... lots of reading and discussion!

The class was SO easy. As long as you go to class and at least sparknote the readings, it is SO easy. Becareful of her few pop quizzes on the material! Participate in class, and make sure you don't miss too many classes, because she will take off points!

We called her course the "Dr. Yang Show" because she loves talking so much. Unfortunately, while she is lovely, intelligent, and extremely friendly, she isn't a great professor. Her monologues/tangents were frequently unrelated to course material, leaving some students to teach themselves theory.

If you want to learn literary theory and participate in a valuable experience, take Dr. Yang's class. She provides an enjoyable class with the focus on academics. She is funny, clever, and kind.
