Homeworks - Include both theoretical and programming questions, which help you clear the concepts taught in class. The questions itself are very descriptive so you learn new material by doing the homework. Lectures - Amazing. The professor tries her best to make sure that you understand whats being taught. Exams - Challenging but you can score.

Do the homework's and attend all lectures and you'll be able to get an A. Miss class - you will struggle. She allows cheat sheets for exams, and offers lots of office hours. Clear and effective lecturer. Highly recommend!

Comment:
Course material was a bit over the place but given that it was a broad survey course this was okay. Excellent clear lectures that were lively and funny and left the student with a good understanding of both the concept and the technique. Homeworks were very thorough in reinforcing everything. Exams were theory-oriented and slightly challenging.

Very clear lectures, very nice and helpful outside of class. Homeworks and exams are thorough; exams are a tad on the easier side. Only finished 2/3 of the Sipser book, though, which is a shame, because there is so much wonderful material in there. The pacing of the course is a tad slow; if we did things a bit faster we probably could have finished

Good professor, pretty easy class. Quirky sense of humor and lectures are not boring. My favorite CS course at poly so far

Had her for Advanced Algorithms in Fall 2000. She was alright, but definitely needs to explain the concepts better. Exams could've been a little easier too.
