Comment:

Lisa is a great professor, she goes out of her way to make sure you understand the material. Shes very laid back but expects you to follow deadlines. She posts her lectures online but I suggest attending class, she breaks down material and gives good hints for test prep. I didnt do a lot of reading, the textbook is only needed in her lab.

Lisa hands down is the best professor on this campus. She makes hard to grasp concepts very easy. She breaks down exactly what content will be on the exams and that saves a ton of time. She actually cares about her students and is passionate about what she teaches. She teaches an array of classes, and is great in all of them!!!

Best professor at this campus i believe. She tells you exactly whats on the exams, class is hard but with such a great professor theres no reason why you shouldnt get a soild grade. There arent that many test, which makes it hard because there are a lot of information on the exams. Use notecards to memorize exactly whats on the powerpoints heehee

Lisa is an amazing professor. She is so understanding and willing to work with you if you dont understand anything. Everything on her exams are in our lectures so if you study your notes you will ace her exams. Definitely my favorite professor so far and im a junior :)

She's an amazing teacher. BUT the tests are hard and you have to put in a lot of work. There are no quizzes, no homework, no projects, and no extra credit. Your grade is determined by 4 exams, each with over 100 questions (mostly matching). She was tough, but a fantastic educator.

I only had her for the lab portion, but I am so glad I did. She is an awesome teacher who finds good ways to teach you how to learn the material. She made sure you knew what you were doing and as long as you studied, you would get a good grade.

Lisa is great. She lets you know what is testable material and all the possible ways she could ask questions about a topic. She did change how she graded her spelling in the middle of lab practicals so everyone did poorly on the muscle practical, but other than that she's awesome!

Not very great at lecturing, and I don't like how the grade is based just off of exams. But if you go to her office hours and ask for help she will help. She also offers study sessions. Her lecture exams are extremely hard though, so study study study. In lab she is extremely clear and prepares you well for practicals. She's average.

Worst class i've taken in my 4 years here. She refuses to recognize that it's a gen ed and the people taking it are not science majors. Dense material and there is a lot of it. All memorization based as well. Test are multiple choice and true false. All in all just a bad time

Tells you exactly what to expect right before the lecture exams. Only focus on what she tells you to focus on. Don't waste time on other material. Practical labs are extremely easy. Use supplemental material when studying for the practicals and you will be fine. She's always willing to help!

She is very nice and helpful! However, lecture tests are very hard so study a lot! Our TA opened labs for extra study time which was also helpful for practicals. Know the cat inside and out for practicals!

LOVE HER! She's an amazing teacher. Lab practicals are a lot of info but she has an amazing way of teaching it...stay for the full lab and study! I've done really well...just do your work and put in a little effort and it'll be no problem :)

Biggest Joke class at Penn State Behrend. Don't go ever. Just look the answers to the quizzes on the books website and then study the quizzes for all the tests. She takes questions directly off of them. BIG LOLZ

I actually WANTED to go to class. Best professor I've had. Makes the class interesting and enjoyable. She explains things very well and is always willing to help. She had a good sense of humor. I definitly recommend Lisa Mangel!!
