The assignments for the class were very easy, however, the papers were hard to meet her length requirement. I liked how she gave the class a theme. However, I kept getting Cs on her papers when i worked my hardest on them. She is a tough grader but she gives extra credit and the homework really boosted my grade.

I don't know why everyone says to not take her. If you actually put some effort into your papers, do the class assignments, and occasionally talk in class you'll get an easy A. Plus, attendance isn't mandatory. Just show up once in a while and you'll pass with flying colors.

Dr. Miller is a sweet lady and a smart professor. Attandance is not mandetory, you can even show up for the last 20 minutes of class and she will be happy:) She IS a hard grader, BUT there were only 4 essays in that class and as long as you do them, and read her comments you will have good grades. Ok, I don't know about the 200 classes she teaches but she was terrible in 120. I took her over a year ago. She's a very nice person, but I learned nothing in her class. The discussion was completely irrelevant to anything we read, and it turned into a free for all about everyones personal life. Eventually no one showed up to class.Very hard grader

veryy hard grader...even if you give in a draft and get all the corrections you still wont get a good grade. At the end, there seems little point in even doing it.Class discussions are at times intersting but she keeps asking the same questions and the discussion just goes in a circle..to the point where you wanna tell her to shut up and move on.

She gives a lot of time for one on one meetings at the end of every class, she offers any advice and assistance her students ask for, and she tries to make her lectures interesting. Very interested in writing about films and TV shows. Talks a lot about her home life which isn't bad cause she always relates it back to what she's talking about. She's a tough grader but she corrects the**** out of your paper so you can actually learn from it. Repetitive at times but not a big deal.
