Very knowledgable in her field and I learned a lot in this class. She can be a bit hard to follow at times and a little unorganized but overall it was a solid class and she was a solid prof.

There was 3 midterms and 3 papers that were 100% based on the readings she provides on e-class. Lise was a good professor and was passionate in her lectures. There are a lot of readings that need to be done before going to lecture. Overall, an easy class if you're interested in women and gender studies and make a good effort to do the readings.

Lise is very smart, and knows what she's talking about. Sometimes she is a bit disorganized. She creates good discussions in class although they sometimes can be a bit repetitive. Her midterms are OK...but I feel that the reading material was too much and some wasn't even gone over! Nonetheless, interesting class and course material!

Any guy who wants to shoot himself after a W ST course is probably too attached to his own privilege, or he thought W ST would be easy and learned otherwise... Lise really is too humble about her own massive bank of knowledge. She's goof, warm and smart as hell.

This course was excellent. Heavy on the reading, but readings were discussed during seminar. She is a fair marker, but expectations are hard to pin down- generally you'll assume her expectations are higher than they are. A very insightful, intelligent professor whose availablity and approchability make the courses all the more enjoyable.
