Comment:

Tough at first, but so worth it. Lizs goal is to make sure her class has a better understanding of the analytical tools she has to give and build skills for annotating you will use in all your classes after taking her class. She makes you earn/debate your grader, truly cares for students and teaching. Reachable outside class. Definitely recommend!

Liz is one of the best professors I had at VC. Im truly grateful to have taken her class and to be able to learn from her. Shes one of the most caring people I have met. If you put in the work and effort for her class, you will be able to pass the class. Attendance is a MUST.

Liz is by far the best teacher I have ever had in my life. Truly such a caring person with a good heart and her love for teaching shows in her lectures! She offers help always even if it isnt school related. She is one teacher I would recommend everyone should take because she will make you enjoy every class.

Liz has been one of the best teachers I've had at VC. She truly cares and gives good feedback. She tells you exactly what she expects and is fair. Although I don't like English at all, she helped me get better at it. She assigns a couple of papers but they are relatively easy if you ask her for help. Overall a great teacher!

I took this class because that reviews said she was easy. I got an A in this class but I had to put in a lot of work. I imagine it would have been easy if you're just aiming for a B or a C. She is nice, caring, you'll learn a fair bit, etc., but I wouldn't call it an easy A.

Liz Kraus is the best. She truly cares about her students and is so passionate about learning and teaching. She pushes you, but its not difficult. And she is so funny. She is always willing to work with you no matter what.

By far the best professor I've ever had! She is amazing!! She cares about our success and is always willing to help! If you're somebody who doesn't like to show up to class and participate this isn't the class for you. Participation is mandatory and she will call you out on it. I wish she taught other classes! Best class ever! :)

Comment:

Liz Kraus connects with her students and draws them in to participate through her passionate lecture style! The diverse reading material that she chose inspired me to think deeply, in a new way. Not an easy class (lots of homework), but well worth the effort. I learned valuable critical thinking skills & increased my vocabulary. Great teacher!

Comment:

Kraus truly cares about her students and is VERY passionate about teaching. She's like a mom. She will help students out when they need it. Assignments are fairly easy, just require to think outside the box. Group work. You NEED to do the readings, but they are interesting and related to real life experiences. Test was open note/book. She's GREAT!

Liz was the best english professor I've ever had. She cares a lot about her students and it was easy for me at least. She'll help you if you need it. She's strict on attendance and punctuality but that's the only thing. You do have to actually do work to get your grade. Best teacher. Definitely recommend.

I absolutely love Liz! I took her 4 week summer course. She gives handouts everyday and there was a lot of homework but she explained it very well and made sure the whole class understood the work. BEST English teacher ever! I had just returned to school after a few years off and this was my first English class in 6 years. She was very helpful. She relates all the work to life. Great teacher. Has great discussions and answers questions. Everything was explained clearly and you knew what you needed to do and how to do it. She will pre-grade papers and tell you what you need to fix before it's due. Best English teacher I had at VC. Take her if you can. Go every class and do the assignments and an A isn't hard to get.

She has strict rules, but is willing to help you out if you ask and show the effort. She gives you a week or two before requiring textbook so you have time to buy it. Not many essays actually, but I was in the summer class. She has interesting stories that are relevant. Chooses text that makes you think. Really glad I took her class.

Best teacher. I took 2 English classes with her because I didn't want anyone else teaching me. I have learned so much from her in the 2 classes. Fun stories, super helpful with any question you have, and makes the course fun. If you want to learn and put some effort in then take this class. Won’t regret it.

Liz is truely one of my favorite teaers at VC! She is so down to earth and really cares about every single one of her students. She makes English a very interesting subject, she makes you read very interesting articles and poems that make you think outside the box. You will miss out on an amazing professor if you do not take her class!
