Dr. Fernald is one of the best professors UCF has to offer. He cares more about his students than anyone I have ever met. 3 classes the whole semester, and he brings coffee and bagels for you each class. You will learn life lessons in this class, I recommend it to everyone.

I thought this class was a great experience. I really lucked out with the company I chose to work with. One of the members in my group, however, dropped out after a couple of weeks so it was challenging with only 2 of us. I found that Dr. Fernald was very helpful and encouraging.

I was excited about this class at first, but soon realized that some experience in the business world was needed. I had only taken a few classes in the MBA program and felt a little lost. I think that if I would have waited to take it after some core courses I would have had a better understanding. I did appreciate the real world exp. and feedback.

I have mixed feelings about this class. The real world experience was a great and extremely helpful to our client which made all the work seem worth it but sometimes the cliend were difficult and the class is very intensive at the end putting together the report.

This class is great for people with NO work experience. I took this class to get away from my full time job and turned into more work than learning. I would not recommend it if you're working, despite the infrequency of class meetings. Also, I feel I delivered high quality assignments using my background, but was penalized for not having "sources.

Initially, I was very excited about this course. It was an opportunity to use my prior work experience and course teachings to help a local business. While I had a great team and an excellent business to work with, I also found Dr. Fernald's grading to be questionable and subjective. I do not recommend this course for those who work full-time.

Most useful course I took my entire college career. Real world experience. Fernald was nice. The only thing I take issue with is his grading policy. The course is very broad & as a result there is a lot of ambiguity pertaining to grading. Fernald showed absolutely no flexibility or understanding when issuing grades (whole grade based on 1 paper).

Dr. Fernald was the best teacher of my whole UnderGrad and Grad experience. Very insightful and I still remember the lessons he taught about the real world. Take his class.

Dr Fernald is a great professor. Includes concepts and theories into real life situations. Tests are short answer but if you study you can do well in the class

Tests are completely short answer/write out. Hope you can memorize good! Other than that, class was easy. Also, make sure the skits are super funny! That's all that matters.

He's nice, but he makes you do a lot of busy work like a journal. Also, he deviates from the lesson and uses the class as his own personal platform.

I thought I busted my butt writing for this course and still only got a C+. If he would explained things more clearly (specially for the pointless journal), I would have done much better. Nice professor but very unclear in giving instructions.

He is a nice guy but he is very picky about grammatical errors. For this class, you have to write 40 individual papers, 20 team papers, and a lengthy journal. There are no tests but the amount of writing is too much. Watch your "p's and q's" when writing papers for him.

He tells you what slide you need to know, study only those, and write as much as possible for the questions. He asks A LOT of question after the skits so make sure you know what you are talking about, and be funny. Grammar is important and apply the online application to that specific chapter.

Nice guy. Watch out for his skits. Make sure they are the funniest things in the world because he grades them hard. He has essay tests but they aren't too bad if you have a good memory. Watch out for grammar mistakes on the papers.
