Comment:
Assigns random notes within the readings and then doesn't explain the relevance of them. Spent almost the entire semester on homicide. Two classes spent on raape, one of which was taught by a professor other than Becker. Essay on exam was about rapee instead of homicide. Odd.

Comment:
What you need to know about Lofty is that hes not going to teach you the information you can teach yourself in a text book. He expects you to do the readings, learn the assigned material and then apply it in class. If you can wrap you head around the material and attempt his crazy class hypos, the exam will be pretty easy.

he is absolutely the worst professor i have had--ever. he is incomprehensible in class, and completely dismissive of students. don't try and participate--he'll do his best to embarrass you. the worst part is, he makes you buy roughly 1,500 pages of a course pack he wrote that he should be embarrassed to have written. AVOID IF POSSIBLE.

I am sure he is a nice person, but not a good teacher. He is difficult to understand, and when I went for extra help for clarification he was extremely hostile, almost giving up b/c I didn't understand his point. He can be funny, but I learned nothing about Con Law, which is such a shame, as it is the cornerstone of law and a necessity.
