If you can avoid taking any of her classes, do yourself the favor. Tests are open ended & ridiculously hard. Curves all of the test because usually everyone fails. It's a miracle I passed with a C.

HORRIBLE PROFESSOR, doesn't teach at all, makes horrible jokes throughout the whole class. Her grading is horrible. If you want a professor that will teach you something don't take her class!

If you want an easy A, she is not the professor to take. But if you're willing to go to class, read the book, and listen to what she says, you can get a good grade. She has so many years of experience and so much knowledge- one of my favorite professors at Rowan!

It is a shame her grading is so terrible because she is very interesting. The problem is that there is no way to study for her tests and the we did exactly what she said on the project and got a lower grade than the group that did nothing that she said. Don't take this prof. I am an A student, this is not about grades it is about fairness.

This teacher is horrible. Her tests are NOT related to the material assigned! Shes incomprehensible on all accounts. From her tests reviews, notes, and poorly made jokes all of them ridiculous. Don't waste your time with this professor. If you want a quality education, DON'T TAKE HER!

She doesn't teach and her jokes are not funny. I read all of the chapters and still got C's on her tests. If her tests were on things like which one of her family members pretends to be a wizard on thanksgiving, I would have aced them. Also, her dramatic pausing during her stories drove me insane.

She is by far the most arrogant, self-absorbed "professor" I had the unfortunate experience of having in graduate school. Her lectures are full of non-sequitors and bore no relationship to her tests. Her assignments are irrelevant and her tests are incomprehensible and her grading is subjective. She appears to have a bias toward males.

Strauss is without a doubt the worst professor I have taken in my career. She cares little for her students and truly enjoys tormenting them. I read every section she assigned, studied hours, made notecards, went to every class and ended up with a C. I have never in my life studied or worked harder for a class to receive such a slap in the face.

I loved her! Yes, the class is challenging, but I got a *ton* out of it. The readings were pertinent and she tied in the class discussions accordingly. Exams were hard, but were graded on a curve. Since when should getting an "A" in a class be easy? I got a B from her and I am happy because I feel that I earned it!

Dr. Strauss uses class time as her stand-up comedy hour (or however long the class is). She is not clear as to what will be covered on the exams so you have to READ ALL OF THE CHAPTERS and know all of the info. If you read and study you will pass - she grades on a curve - but you must read and study... it's all you!

It was a difficult class but it was refreshing to actually be challenged! Many college classes are so watered down! If you READ and give it effort you will be fine. She is a very real person with lots of wisdon and experience to share. She also grades you against the class- worked out good for me!
