Usually fine, but unreasonable. On two occasions, I really needed to skip class, once I was in the ER and second I had a family emergency . She was not the least bit understanding and stuck to her policies and lacked compassion. I took her for both semesters of Freshman English and found it ridiculous she was so harsh.

Although Dellaria is a tough grader, it's very clear that she is doing so to help her students become better writers. She's really funny once you get to understand her sense of humor. I actually enjoyed going to her class and doing the assignments.

She's a really awesome professor. She knows so much about the English language and truly wants to make you a better writer. She can come off as harsh, but by the end of the course, you'll love her. Oh- she gives tons of extra credit opportunities. I was exempt from writing the final paper because of all of the extra credit.

Dellaria is a wonderful English teacher. She is demanding and tough, but only because she wants to push you to do your best. I found her to be humorous, helpful, and understanding. She does her best to get to know all of her students. Don't take her sarcastic comments seriously, she is very kind. I highly recommend her.

Dellaria is an amazing professor! She is extremely clear in what she wants, and won't accept anything less. If you blow off an assignment, or don't put enough effort into it, she will know and give you a lower grade. She helps you to make your writing as good as it can be, and will give assistance working through problems. Loved her class.

If you catch on to her style of humor & sarcasm, this lady is hilarious! Not only was her personality entertaining, but also her expertise and passion for her subject inspired me. I did not simply want a good grade in her class anymore, I wanted to gain her all around respect. Only one other teacher in my life has has ever affected me like that.

Obsession with the 60s, and all things that happened then. Work and texts read for class are childish and frankly, quite useless. She aggressively asserts her political and religious opinions in class, using Inappropriate unprofessional and one-sided arguments which is not consistent with any kind of English course.

DO NOT take a class with Dellaria. She teaches things that are completely against all rules of writing (e.g. We continually had to write 1 pg. paragraphs for entire essays). She was rude and unhelpful. She waves off questions. She has no pedagogy! She's an inept professor. The workload was ridiculous.

I love her. She's a hard grader, but she's always there if you ask her for help. She expects the most out of her students, which is why she's demanding. She truly cares for her students. She's a bit eccentric, but very lovable. I've had her for Freshman English 1 & 2; I want to take her other classes as well.

When she first stepped into the classroom and greeted us, I knew I liked her, and I knew she would be tough. While her intimidating glances are enough to offset some people, her smile is enough to reassure the most timid of hearts. The first paper I ever wrote for her was a dismal failure, but my last paper was a great success. Take this class!

This woman is eccentric but overtime the bias against men becomes unbearable. She will even attack you verbally in class. Switch if you can. I'm sorely disappointed with FUS for hiring this woman. I came to this school thinking it wasnt as affected by popular feminism against men;I was wrong.

She's definitely eccentric. She's pretty nit-picky but it's only because she wants to push you to be the absolute best you can be. She hates to see wasted potential. Use her antics as a motivation and you'll do well. Most people think she's just being mean when she's not. Once you understand her dry sense of humor, she's actually hilarious. AWESOME

she was so rude, i couldn't handle it. she makes you feel dumb and always talks about and points out the negative in your writing, she thinks she the best at writing. but, she does teach what your supposed to do, if you feel like working hard and want to learn how to write well take her, if your looking for ANY slack... Dellaria is possibly the worst teacher I've ever had. Not only is her abundant arrogance completely without basis in reality, she also seems to have some anti-male bias. I'm a literature buff and I found not only to be incorrect in her observations on Authors but also openly hostile in her critiquing of students' work.

Very tough, but very good. Gave me an appreciation for writing and proper grammar; you have to learn to write following her style, but after a paper or two it gets easier. She definitely wants all of her students to do well and to appreciate English as she does. Overall, I loved the class.
