Dr. Schmied is the best. This woman knows her stuff and is super on it. She makes you think and makes you laugh. She cares about her students but she won't allow you to slack off. Come to class and work hard and you will succeed in this class and be all the better for it.

Comment:

Dr. Schmied is a wonderful professor. You must read the textbook and study at least a week to a week before an exam in order to understand the material. Test are very loaded and have a lot of multiple choice and writing and describing your answers. You must also know to memorize charts and the 8 principles slides for exams. Overall, she is great.

Dr. Schmied isn't everyones cup of tea but if you come to class ON TIME and take notes, she will like you fine. Do what you are expected to do and you will have no problems with her. She always has great office hours and is willing to help you if you're struggling. I recommend her.

Dr. Schmied is the most challenging and knowledgeable professors I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. She truly makes you work for your grade, but she also has clear criteria and expectations that are possible to maintain. If you really want to know your subject, take her class!

Her classes are tough, but she's such an amazing professor. I've had her for 4 classes and I've enjoyed every single one of them. She's a little strict, but once she gets to know you she's a lot of fun and makes really funny subtle jokes in class. She'll make you work for your grade, but it's worth it.

Dr. Schmied is a great professor and knows what she's talking about. It is important to go to her classes because some of the lecture content is not in the textbook. Also, there's no way you can study the night before the test and actually make a good grade. She makes you work for it.

If you find yourself intimidated by Dr. Schmied, it is only that her knowledge will be a constant catalyst in your learning experience. She is not "full of herself" but rather full of a great deal of knowledge that she is confident in sharing with her students. Under her teaching, I have received my best educational instruction thus far.

A very nice person and knowledgeable. Biopsyc is the BEST CLASS EVER!!!!!!!!!!! It is not that difficult like everyone says, but is interesting. A good grade is very possible plus you learn tons of neat stuff. Way to go!
